Panaji: Tourism department is upbeat about the interest shown by the Israeli government to start scheduled and charter flights to Goa. Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar along with deputy chief minister Francis D'Souza is scheduled to visit Israel in June. The government has received an invitation from the Israeli government for the visit. "Israeli government is keen to start scheduled as well as charter flights to Goa," said Mr. Parulekar.

He added that his department is also keen to

start Australia-Singapore-Goa flights to tap tourist potential of Southeast Asia.

During their visit to Israel, other aspects of tourism will also be

examined. "We will also study how hinterland tourism is promoted in Israel," says Mr. Parulekar

Every year Goa receives large number of Israeli

tourists. The tourism department feels that there still remains a lot of potential to attract Israeli tourists to Goa.

Tourism is one of the major sources of income for Israel as it has offers attractions for tourists in terms of historical, religious sites and beach resorts. The country also has many museums.

On the other hand, foreign tourist inflow to Goa during the recently concluded season was 4.5 lakhs. Moreover, the State is yet to promote many aspects of tourism.

Delhi : The cricketing world was stunned after S.Sreesanth and two other Rajasthan Royals players were arrested by Delhi Police for spot-fixing in an IPL 2013 game. The players were arrested in Mumbai, where the Royals played their last game against the Mumbai and were produced in court once they were brought to Delhi. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) suspended the three players in question pending further investigation, with BCCI president N Srinivasan insisting the tournament, in its final leg, would go on undeterred.

"We will fully cooperate with the authorities to ensure a thorough investigation. The management at Rajasthan Royals has a zero-tolerance approach to anything that is against the spirit of the game" says the statement issued by the Royal authorities.

The police said they monitored the IPL for quite a while, and the players have been charged with spot-fixing in various matches. The police said Sreesanth, whose distant relative Jiju Janardhanan is a key accused in the case, fixed a game against the Kings XI Punjab, on May 9 in Mohali, Sreesanth gave the bookies an

indication of the over in which he gave more than 14 runs by putting a towel in front of his trousers.

Chandila did the same against the Pune Warriors on May 5, but failed to give the bookies an indication of which over, leading to a disagreement. Chavan conceded 14 runs or more in the game against MI, for which he was paid a whopping Rs. 60 lakhs -- the spinner gave away 15 runs in his second over -- the third of the innings -- after only conceding two runs in his first.

Sreesanth has had an underwhelming IPL 2013 so far, with the fast bowler in and out of the Royals side, which has performed so well and sealed a place in the playoffs. Sreesanth, who has played 27 Tests, 52 ODIs and 10 T20s for India and was also part of the squad which won the World Cup in 2011, has been plagued by injuries in recent seasons and was hoping to make an impression in the IPL to catch the attention of the national team's selectors.

A sizeable number of Russians reside in the Indian city of Goa. They seem to be everywhere. They are there as tourists, as businessmen and as residents. Infact, the village of Morjim in Goa is popularly known as Little Russia because of the large number of Russians, about 80,000 of them, that live there.

Arambol, Calangute and Anjuna in North Goa are other regions occupied by these foreigners.

Tourism is a major attraction in Goa and about 3,500 Russians visit Goa every ten days. In the last few years , it seems as though, Russians have taken over Goa full swing. They are driving taxis, running shacks and hotels on beaches, they have opened their restaurants and bars and they have opened their own little businesses in Goa. They are even renting out Harley Davidson and bullets to tourists.

The expansion of Russians in Goa has been so much so that the locals are facing a brunt. The Russians seems to be giving the Goans a competition in almost every business. There have been face-offs between locals and Russians and not too long ago, a local driver was killed in a brawl with a Russian citizen.

Even though the Chief Minister of Goa, Manohar Parrikar, has stated that foreigners wont be allowed to monoplise areas at the cost of locals, Russian mafia seems to be controlling a major part of Goa, or atleast that is what the rumours have been like.

In the recent past, there have been quite a few complaints made in Goa against the rise of Russian mafia. Goa is known for drugs

trading. Russians, in Goa, have taken over this illegal trafficking

business as well. They have build large network and there almost seems to be a monopoly among drug dealers in Russia. Their network connects them to Delhi, to Mumbai and to various other parts of the world. They smuggle drugs into the country and sell them in Goa.

Apparently, the Russians have even taken over the sex-trade business in Goa too. The fair-skinned Russians are paid

more than the Indian wheatish complexion girls and are thought of to be more elitist escorts than the Indian skinned prostitutes.

It seems as if the drug mafia is building a rich network in Goa and trying to create an oligopoly, if not a monopoly, among business in Goa. These Russians, who initially came to India to get a break from their hectic city life, have started business small and big, legal and illegal and settled down in Goa.

The very fact that there are quite a few sign boards in Goa in the native languages of the Russians, is a sign itself of how much of Goa is being taken over by the Russians.

The government needs to check this drug mafia-police nexus, curb its further growth and at the same time help the locals rise above the Russian immigrants. For soon, if things move at the same positive pace for the Russians in Goa, Morjim wont just be called Little Russia but entire Goa will become Little Russia, if it hasnt already.

Eczema (also called dermatitis) describes any inflammation of the skin which is characterized by itching, redness and an outbreak of lesions. It is non-contagious in nature i.e. does not spread from one person to another.

However, in most cases, the features persist for a long period and tend to be recurring in nature leading to 'Chronic eczema'.

1. When & why did you start playing the Guitar? I started playing the guitar at the age of 13.The reason behind me starting to play was a nice teacher called Agnelo Dias who was sent by god and who literally pulled me out of my house and taught me the guitar!2. What was the first tune(s) you learned?

Gods love and the hymns we sing in church.

3. Which famous musicians do you admire? Why? Its a big list. From Goa I admire Remo Fernandes for the contributions he has made in the music field and for taking Goa to the rest of the world through his innovative singing style a n d composi t ions . A m o n g

other

musicians my favorites are Sir John Sebastian Bach , Sir Ravi Shankar, Sir Vishwa Mohan Bhat, Steve Morse , Steve Vai , Joe Satriani and Eric Johnson to name a few. I admire them for the discipline they have maintained throughout their lifetime and for having dedicated their lives towards music. They have been giving us wonderful music and also indirectly keep teaching us something new.

4. Which famous musicians have you learned from? Apart from Agnelo Dias I have also learnt from one of the best musician from Goa Sir Roque Lazarus. Sir Chris Bismarck changed my life after I met him he is a fine guitarist and a teacher known internationally and has already featured on two of the magazines from U.S Guitar World and Guitar Player. I have also had a lot of sessions, discussions about music with a lot of musicians. My teacher who has also taught me from Higher Secondary College Sir Jude Mascharenhas is an awesome guitarist.

5. Have you had any formal music training? Explain. Yes. Under Roque Lazarus I was trained to play classical music on the guitar and later under his guidance I answered grade 8 from Trinity College of music London.

6. Were you influenced by old records & tapes? Which ones? Yes. I love our own Chris Perrys music and his tapes, cds .As I was growing up as a guitarist I used to listen to loads of music from several other artists as well.

7. Which are your favorite Groups? Groups I like are Deep purple, Scorpions, Beatles, Eagles, Dream Theatre, Animals as Leaders and many more.

8. Have you been in competitions? Any prizes? I have got the best guitarist award at the annual

Battle of the Bands rock competition among the top 15 bands held in august 2007 at Alva-Mar, Parra- Goa.I have won the acoustic guitar competition, organized by the caf coffee day at Miramar,Panjim-Goa in September 2008.I have also been awarded the exhibition award by the Trinity College of Music- London for securing the highest marks(94%) in India at the grade 5 classical guitar examination. for the contributions made in music locally I had been felicitated by the youth of Santa Cruz on 19th Dec 2011.

9. Do you perform in public? Describe those occasions? Concerts, radio, TV?

Yes I often get invited to give guitar recitals for music students etc.I

like doing it as it feels nice to give a good performance and inspire

the younger musicians of Goa

I also play in the church choir ,have done lots of concerts and occasions as I have been part of many bands gospel band KIGS , band hidden track ,Band India to name a few and a few rock bands namely Bad apple and Prolife. Where for radio and television I had been interviewed on Radio Mirchi, Hcn and Goa 365 earlier with live guitar performances. Presently am doing fusion music collaboration with S.Harikumar a carnatic violin player from Kerala.

10. How do you handle mistakes during a performance? One has to look forward to the rest of the performance rather than think about mistakes made is what I feel.

11. How often and for how long do you practice?There was a time when I used to practice for 6 hours a day. Now with so many other commitments it has come down but mentally Im practicing music for 24 hours! And thats what keeps me going.

12. What do you practice - exercises, new tunes, hard tunes, etc.? I practice when Im not working. Basically whenever I get time Im on the guitar practicing new styles, tunes etc!

13. Do you teach music? Yes I teach guitar privately at home and I feel proud to say that some of my students are doing very well.

14. Imagine youre watching a concert and one of the band members spontaneously combusts. You get called to the stage to replace that band member. Whos the dream band you would like to play with? When I saw deep purple play right before me in Goa in 2001 and I got floored by the guitarist and the whole band it was fun because they are my dream band.

15. Favourite genres of music? Rock, classical, Indian classical, Carnatic music.

16. Whats the most in your music career that youve ever done? I think studying the various techniques of guitar playing and composing and at the same time sharing the knowledge with fellow guitarists and my students is the best thing that I have done.

17. Strangest venue or gig youve ever played?To mention a strange venue I remember some time back we played on a makeshift stage at a private party where I had mangoes hanging beside me! The drummer was almost in the bushes and the keyboard player was in the roots of the mango tree!18. Your journey in the field of music till date?

I have been 18 years on the never ending road of music and for me its still a long way to go! 19. What advice would you give to beginners? Dear friends we are not a gift to music! Music is a gift to us from the almighty. Learn it and master it and in this way show your love for music.

20. Do you have any other projects in mind? Like an album release or some concert or something? I already released my first album in the year 2011.I chose it to be in Konkani as a tribute to my dad and all the lovely people of Goa and the album is called TUZO UGGDAS and it is in stores. I have just arranged music for a Hindi album which will hit the stores soon and am also looking forward to arrange music for an English album of one of the most promising singers of Goa! Am also looking forward to work on something in the Carnatic music area.

Boney Alex Dias is a very compassionate guitarist and doesnt come from a family which has a music background but yet a splendid guitarist. He was born on 5th July 1982 and is a resident of Santa Cruz. He loves sports and has represented the college in cricket and badminton. He also shows a keen liking towards drawing. He not only plays the Guitar but plays the flute as well. He has begged an award for the best guitarist at the annual Battle of the Bands rock competition among the top 15 bands held in august 2007 at Alva-Mar.He is a mixture of a very shy introvert person and a totally opposite frank, bold and talkative person .Read on for a detailed description of Alex.

Tennis is a sport usually played between two players (singles) or between two teams of two players each (doubles). Each player uses a racket that is strung to strike a hollow rubber ball over a net and into the opponent's court. The object of the game is to play the ball in such a way that the opponent is not able to play a good return. Tennis is an Olympic sport and is played at

all levels of society at all ages. India has seen ace players like Mahesh Bhupati, Sania Mirza, Leander Paes, Vijay Amritraj and a few more. It is an individual sport and is hardly seen played much among the Goan youth unlike team sports such as cricket and football which are promoted and

supported more passionately than any other sport.

Natasha Palha whos ranking in No.5 in India and 800 in the world is one of the few Tennis players Goa has who has done us proud. In 2007 she won the Asian U-14 title and the Asias No.1 in Bahrain. She explains Tennis is an individual sport. The performance of Goa is good though there are few tennis players in Goa the ones who play are good. More than the government it's the parents who have look into seeking training and infrastructure for their wards. I dont think we have any SAG coaches for tennis in Goa as I get trained in Pune i.e. I take private coaching from Hemant Bendre.

Her dad, Brian Palha, currently accompanying Natasha for training and competition at Pune says Tennis in Goa is still developing and in terms of infrastructure its just ok.What the

government is doing for cricket and football is a big thing. Its too much to expect the government to do anything more for tennis in comparison to what they are doing for cricket and football. Tennis also should be promoted to an extent in schools so that we can get more tennis players,.

Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) executive director Elvis Gomes enlightens Tennis is played among very few and is still not taken up by the masses for whatever reasons particularly due to expenses involved and coaches being few.

Goas state tennis association secretary Mr.Bullu Godinho states that Though lack of infrastructure for this sport Natasha Palha, Tejas Shinde, Vardhan Cargill are doing well. Currently there is no infrastructure provided by the government for tennis but we can perform much better if the government get infrastructure in place. Private clubs and private coaching camps in and around the state are helping. There is a lot of potential and only if more people play only then will we have more champions. Its a wait of time thats all we can do is wait and see what the future in stores for tennis.

He further goes on to say that in schools this sport should be

encouraged like other sports only then will this sport be upheld. Its sad but true we dont have even a single SAG coach for tennis in Goa.The Tennis Association has tried to petition private clubs for the use of their courts but in vain as they arent granting permission to practice during peak hours. Goas state tennis association has proposed for infrastructure at Campal, Panaji for national games

Looks like tennis has to still reach the youth as it is a game played by just a handful. There is a need for infrastructure and coaches to teach and propagate this sport to the masses so that more champions may emerge from our state Goa. Its pitiful that we have associations and people in authority for all sports of our state but the question is how many are really working for the respective sport allotted to them? Why do our players need to go out for training cant we make Goa self sufficient so our tennis players can acquire training here itself? The festival of Gadyaanchi Jatra, which happens once in three years at Poinguinim, a village in Canacona, has placed the village on Goas cultural map. This year the jatra will be celebrated on 25th May 2013.

The jatra is celebrated in the name of Shri Betal who is the most feared and highly revered deity of Poinguinim and its neighborhood.

The first year (of the third year) a ritual called Jevnni is performed. The second year the famous Ttakaa procession is carried out and the third year the Gadyaanchi Jatra is celebrated.

The Ttakaa procession is believed to be an invitation to all the deities of the three villages of Poinguinim, Lolye and Kharegaall for Gadyaanchi jatra. The procession is lead by a representative of the deity Betal, followed by four men called Gade, with two Tarangaa, and two Satris (umbrella shaped icons representing the deities).

The folklore says that in the 13th century, Shri Betal conquered Poinguinim and annexed it to his 12 other kingdoms. The villagers requested him to reside peacefully in Poinguinim in return for which he was promised a Jatra after every three years. Since then the famous Gadyaanchi Jatra is being celebrated.

The two Tarangaa, the Satri and the Pillkucho (bunch of peacocks feathers) are brought ceremoniously to Poinguinim from Amona near Khotigao prior to the Jatra. Two massive tree trunks called Khaamb - around 13-14 meters high - are erected in front of the Shri Betal temple. A huge wooden spindle called the Raat with four arms is mounted on these Khaamb.

The most awaited part is in the evening when a metal hook is pierced into the back muscles of the four Gade. The Gade climb the Khaamb wearing a turban and a dhoti. They hold a

sword in the right hand and a piece of cloth in the other. Each Gado (singular of Gade) is tied to the arm of the spindle. The spindle is then rotated. The Mhaal Gado (Chief) then poses four questions to the crowd below. Lolyekaar Aayle?- Have the villagers from Lolye arrived? Poinginkaar Aayle? - Have the villagers from Poinguinim arrived? Khargaallkaar Aayle?- Have the villagers from Kharegaall arrived? Khushi Jaali? Are you all happy? After receiving a loud positive response the spindle is rotated and stopped, thus marking the end of the Jatra.

On the day of the Jatra the image of Shri Betal in the temple is decorated in a very traditional way. He is shown wearing a white dhoti and a red colored saree covered on his head. This combination of decoration has remained unchanged for many years. The rich tradition of this jatra has been maintained by the people for the past many years and will continue to do so this year. I have been in many restaurants before but the warm and affection shown by Shetye Brothers owned restaurant Anantashram is simply incredible.

The restaurant is situated in the prime location of Vasco. This is the only restaurant, which is run by the Shetye brothers for more than 50 years.

The restaurant was started by late Anant (uncle) and late Vishnu Shetye (father) in the year 1961 and even after their deaths the duo brothers Mr. Shripad and Sanjay Shetye carried on with their fathers legacy with honesty and hard work.

In the recent years we have been into many business ventures but this restaurant is close to our hearts as it has blessings of our loved ones, says Mr. Shripad Shetye.

This is the restaurant which is always over crowded by office goers and tourists. Customers dont mind waiting in the queue as it is worth the wait. The prices are very reasonable here and the quality of food is maintained by the Shetye brothers. They believe in customer satisfaction.

The restaurant has A/C and Non A/C Settings. The ambience of Non A/C is just like a shack in the City and the A/C section is simple but yet very classy. The restaurant has a seating arrangement for nearly 200 persons.

It is open from Monday to Saturday from 11:30 -3:00 pm, 6:30 - 11:30 pm. It is sad that the restaurant is closed on Sunday when asked why? Mr. Shripad Shetye smiled and said that though it is actually meant to make business but for us Sunday is totally meant for family.

The restaurant first started serving fish curry rice but now with growing competitions they serve Indian, Mughlai and multi Cuisine but nothing is comparable to the Chicken Dum

Biryani. Every day they sell parcels of

Biryani in a Handi style which is to die for. People from Mumbai, Delhi specially come to taste their speciality Dum Biryani. They also provide Flight parcels for their customers.

A glass of beer along with Chicken dum Biryani does not quite leave a space for anything. But if your one of those who has good appetite then you can even try Garlic chicken, chicken 65 and if youre a seafood lover

then you can get a variety of fish from the menu.

The restaurants is so famous for its dum biryani that not only tourist but people from extreme north Goa come for their take away and rest enjoy having incredible time with their families seating in the restaurant with the fantastic dum biryani.

When asked Mr. Shripad Shetye about their future plans of expanding their restaurant he replied this business requires a big commitment which is not possible right now but in the coming years definitely we are planning to expand the restaurant.

As a family restaurant goes it is a place where the food is tasty finger licking and with quick service from the staff. So this weekend if you are hungry for biryani and want to chill with a glass of beer you know where to go.

Ingredients : 750 gm raw Goa rice10 large coconuts2 kg coconut jaggery2 tbsp sugarSalt to taste200 gm cashew nuts, choppedPreparation: Grate coconuts and extract coconut milk. To do this, grind the coconut with warm water. Squeeze the coconut as much as possible to extract the maximum amount of liquid. Discard the coconut leaving only the coconut milk.Chop the cashew nuts and jaggery.Take a deep pan and place it on a slow fire. Now Sieve the rice flour. Then add the coconut milk. Stir well to avoid lumps.After the mixture thickens slightly, add the chopped jaggery and stir. Now after 5 minutes add the chopped nuts.Keep on stirring till the whole mixture is well thickened and begins to leave the sides of the vessel.Now pour it into a greased dish. Leave it to cool. And then cut and serve.

Ingredients : 1 kg pork (fat removed) and chopped into small 1/2" pieces 1/2 kg pork liver chopped into small 1/2" pieces 2/3 cup white vinegar (approx. 4.5 fl oz) 20 dry red chillies 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 tsp coriander seeds 7-8 peppercorns 6 cloves 1"piece of cinnamon 3 tbsps vegetable/ canola/ sunflower cooking oil 2 large onions chopped 15 cloves of garlic paste 2" piece of ginger paste Small lump of tamarind soaked in 1/4 cup of hot waterPreparation : Grind the whole spices (dry red chillies, cumin, coriander seeds,

cinnamon, cloves and peppercorns) add vinegar and keep aside. Heat a heavy-bottomed pan on a medium flame and then add the meat and liver. Fry them till light brown. When done remove from the pan and keep aside. Now put oil in the pan and heat on a medium flame. Add the onion and fry till light brown. Add the ginger and garlic pastes and fry for 2 minutes. Now add the masala paste made earlier and fry till the oil separates from it. Add the fried pork liver and meat, then add tamarind pure, salt to taste and mix well. Turn the fire down to a simmer and cook till the meat and liver are tender. Serve hot with plain boiled rice.

Caramel Custard

Ingredients : litre milk100 gms sugar150 gms sugar for caramelizing6 eggs1 tsp vanilla essence

Preparation : Caramelize 150 gms of sugar in a pan and keep aside. In a bowl beat the egg yolks with sugar, then add milk, essence and slightly beaten egg whites. Now put all this in a caramelized mould and steam till ready.

Almond Cooler1 1/4 oz dark rum2 oz coconut cream2 oz orange juice2 oz pineapple juice1 oz grenadine syrup1/2 - 1/3 oz bananas2 - 3 ice cubes

Preparation :Blend all except ice for 10-15 seconds. Add the ice cubes and blend for another 10 seconds to break up the ice cubes slightly.Serve it into a Poco Grande or Hurricane glass garnished with a slice of orange and a Mari chino cherry.

Mangeshi Temple

located at Mangeshi Village in Priol, Ponda taluka, Goa. It is at a distance of 1 Km from Mardol close to Nagueshi, 22 Km from Panaji the capital of Goa and 26 Km from Margao.

The temple is dedicated to Bhagavan Mangesh, an incarnation of Shiva. Bhagavan Mangesh is worshipped here as Shiva Linga. According to the Mythology Lord Shiva came to Goa after having lost everything in a game of dice against his wife, Parvati. When Parvati came looking for him, he disguised himself as a tiger and frightened her. In a state of shock, Parvati uttered the words, "Trahi Mam Grisha", which when translated means, "O Lord of the Mountains, save me". Shiva then reverted into his normal form and returned with her. The words, "Mam Grisha" came to be associated with this story and Shiva came to be known as 'Mangesh'. The place where this tale o c c u r r e d was marked by building a temple at the

site.

This location is to the south of the Zuari River where the present day Village of Cortalim stands. However, when the Portuguese took over, the deity was shifted from its original location to Priol where it remains today.

The Mangueshi temple was one of the temples that were also a part of temple destruction in 1567 by the Portuguese when Salcete was added to their territory. The temple of Mangesh was very ancient and famous and was situated at Cortalim on the south bank of the Zuari River. It provided one end of the ferry route across the river on the road from the airport or from Margao to Panjim. The temple was supposed to be destroyed and a church to be built on its ruins but the Linga was immediately shifted across the river to Priol, where the present temple is located.

The 400-year-old Shri Mangesh temple dedicated to Shiva stands out with its simple and yet exquisitely elegant structure. The temple is noted for the pillars which are considered to be the most beautiful among the temples in Goa. There is a prominent Nandi Bull which is considered to be the Vahana (Vehicle) of Shiva. The temple also has a magnificent water tank, which is believe to be the oldest part of the temple. T h e Sabha Griha is a

spacious hall which accommodates over

500 people at a time.

includes the chandeliers of the nineteenth century. The central part of the Sabha Griha leads to the Garbha Griha where image of Mangesh is consecrated.

Like most temples in Goa, Mangeshi Temple too has a large number of pujas being performed daily. Every day in the morning Shodshopchar pujas, namely Abhishek, Laghurudra and Maharudra are performed. This is followed by Maha-Aarti at noon and Panchopchar pooja at night. Monday is the weekly festival and on this day idol of the deity is taken out for a precession in Palakhi accompanied by music before the evening Aarti.

The annual festivals include Ramanavami, Akshaya Tritiya, Anant Vritotsava, Navaratri, Dussera, Diwali, Magha Poornima Festival (Jatrotsav) and Mahashivratri. Magha Poornima Festival begins on Magha Shukla Saptami and ends on Magha Poornima.

Besides the main temple of Mangesh, there are other shrines dedicated to the family deity within the temple itself or separate temples within the temple complex. Outside the main temple in the courtyard, is a temple dedicated to Lord Bhairava, a violent form of Lord Shiva. This image is magnificent made of black basalt. Behind the main temple, is a temple dedicated to Mukto or Mulkeshwar who was responsible for carrying the image of the Lord to Priol in the 16th century during temple destructions.

He is also associated with Multo, the God of the

Kundbis.

A temple to Shanteri, the village Goddess of Peace is also found besides the ancient water tank outside the courtyard. Besides this, there are temples dedicated to Lord Ganesh and Devi Parvati, the most important members of the family deity.

The temple although not the largest amongst the temples in Goa, is intricately designed and proportioned. The courtyard has numerous garshalas or buildings with rooms for pilgrims, marriage or thread ceremonies, together with the administrative offices.

This temple is one of the largest, most enchanting and most frequently visited temples in Goa. The Mangesh Temple is one of the important temples in Goan history and is well worth the visit.

Editing is a powerful tool for shaping up films and storytelling. Says film editor of Goan origin Mr. Rameshwar Bhagat.

Rameshwar Bhagat a name which needs no introduction when it comes to the film industry.

After editing a lot of suc-cessful films like Dhoom, Dhoom 2, Munna Bhai MBBS, Lage Raho Munnab-hai, New York, Anjana & Anjani, Housefull 1 & 2 and the latest that stole every-ones heart Ek Tha Tiger. He is definitely a Tiger when it comes to editing films.

Mr. Bhagat is one of those people who have made not only Goa but also India proud. Without any doubt he is one of Indias finest Movie editors.

Born and brought up in Mumbai. He finished his graduation in BSc Chemistry but for him advertisements always fascinated him so he followed his likes and started his career with Mr Rajkumar Hirani who was then just busy directing and editing advertisements and also trailers for the films.

He worked with him for more than five years and during these years he learned the inclined process of film making.

After doing lots of advertisements he gave his priorities to films and since then he never looked back.

On asked how he got the break to work with Mr. Hirani Mr. Bhagat said I went to meet Mr. Hirani and I told him I am interested to learn as much as I can. I dont need money but all I want is you to teach me the whole process of editing.

And seriously the rest is history his craving to learn more and more about editing has got him to achieve lots of recognition not only in India but also abroad.

Some of his achievements are best editing Screen Awards, best editing Filmfare Awards and GIFA (Global Indian Film Awards) for Dhoom Movie.

Mr. Bhagat is living a life of simplicity. He is a very

down to earth person in nature. His life revolves around his work and family.

When asked whether he would be interested in editing any Konkani films he promptly replies Definitely yes, if it comes on my way being a Goan I would love to edit Konkani films. He is planning to open a studio very soon in

Goa along with his wife

Mrs. Pallavi Bhagat, who is very supportive when it comes to fulfilling her husbands dreams.

He is a man who doesnt have a routine day planned out. He starts his day at around 7:00 am in the morning and his lunch, dinner and family time all depends on how much of

his time his work and other priorities demand for him.

But he makes sure he can spend enough time with his son and wife.

When asked about his future projects he says well yes I have few projects piled up like Boss starring Mr. Akshay Kumar and many others but unfortunately I cannot mention the others as per my contract rules.

Within a short period of his career he got to edit different genres of films like drama, action, and romance etc.

Mr. Bhagats advice for all the aspiring editors is to intern with good editors and try to get as much practical knowledge as possible. Hola folks! As a special one off, Im going to do a four part series with special focus on four important virtually necessary parts of our wardrobe. Well start with my favourite- bags! Then move on to shoes and after thathang on now! You really didnt think I was going to reveal my secrets all at once now did you? Youll just have to watch this space for more details and thats not such a bad thing else now is it.

Lets start with the most basic and widely used across both the sexes. The rucksack! I know that it isnt exactly the Kate Moss of bags but hey, it is one of the most user friendly a well as space friendly of all bags. Right from the time we were kids going to school to teens going backpacking to adults indulging in some globe trotting, the backpack has been our constant companion. Though I cant honestly say it is only limited to outdoorsy endeavours, because I have seen some cute tiny ones made to be used as handbags for the back!

The Satchel: Yes I know I have waxed eloquent on the sassy satchel in my previous article, but I do think it deserves a mention here! These are available in a variety of colours, but the classic brown leather one appeals to me most. An added benefit of the satchel is its versatility- you can wear it with a long summer skirt or just your faded jeans, both formal and casual clothing-it is the ultimate bag of understated chic! If I had to point out a negative of the satchel-say at gunpoint! - I would say its a tad bit on the teeny tiny side. So maybe I youll have to choose

between your Gucci shades and your make-up pouch! But so what? Its perfect for a credit card, mascara and gloss. And sometimes thats really all we need isnt it ladies! ;)

The Tote: If you dont think rucksacks are stylish enough for you, and yet you have to jet set to the St.Barts ASAP for a buddys birthday, fear not! This is the bag for you. Big and spacious the tote is perfect for weekend trips- like mine from Bombay to Goa- or a girls night in at a friends place! It can-and is!- also carried as an everyday handbag to work and college. Since its so oversize it

can take everything you want to cart around with you- that pair of flats incase your killer heels start killing your feet on the dance floor, a bottle of lens solution, a novel to read during the journey home, a magazine incase the novel gets boring- in other words- everything!

The Evening bag: Meant to be carried by ladies enjoying an evening tea party, this dainty darling has to be delicate and

well cared for. Usually made by al major fashion brands, the evening bag is almost in-between the tote and satchel size wise. Its medium

and just elbow length-or shorter- meant to be tucked under the arm. These come in an array of girly, flowery prints, as well as elegant tans and self colours. My Tods evening bag has accompanied me to many a party as well as wedding receptions and movie nights. Carried by women of all ages, it is the perfect accessory to glam up an elegant soiree.

The Clutch: A cocktail party prerequisite, the clutch is a shiny, fun and glamorous bag that just about fits into your hand. Intended only for essentials, the clutch isnt meant to be stuffed like a Thanksgiving turkey. Perfect for a late night party, the clutch adds instant pizzazz to any outfit. Cute and sparkly, available in a multitude of shapes and colours this is a total party girl must have.

The Envelope bag: As the name suggests, this closely resembles

the shape of an envelope. While they might appear a tiny bit flat, do not

attempt to cram all four of your scarves in as the envelope is intended to be flat. These are fun to carry to a day time party and the pastel shades they come in make you wish that paper envelopes were made so pretty.

Contemporary architecture is definable as the style of building mostly used in present world. The style is really quite varied and has a number of different influences. Contemporary homes typically include an irregular shaped frame, an open floor plan, oversized windows, and the use of "green" and repurposed components. Such homes also often have an organic design, fitting into the surrounding space and meeting an immediate need in the area.

Whereas modern is a static term, contemporary is a dynamic, changing term.

Sometimes people use the terms "contemporary" and "modern" architecture in the place of each other, they technically are not identical. Modern architecture is a building style as early as mid 20th century, in which building had clean and clear lines with more emphasis is given on the function of the building.

Some people viewed the elements that characterized modern architecture as too rigid and featureless. This lead to the creation of the contemporary style. It not only connects interior and exterior spaces, but it also adds some personal touches and warmth throughout

the living space. The use of natural light also plays a big role, so large and expansive windows are used in it more often and easily recognized feature of such houses.

Green building is one of the elements of the contemporary style. Architects usually put more emphasis on energy efficiency and use sustainable, natural, and recycled materials to create eco-friendly houses. The connection extends from the outdoor landscape to the indoor environment. Outside, local plants may be used to decorate the surroundings, or the house may be designed around a prominent natural feature. Living roofs, in which plants are used as roofing materials to increase energy efficiency, are also becoming popular. Inside, natural materials like bamboo flooring and granite countertops are common.

Contemporary architecture often seeks to take old buildings and structures and reuse them in innovative and fresh ways. This might mean a simple redesigning of interior furnishings, or it might entail extensive renovations that dramatically change the look, layout, or function of the space. For this reason, the style often ties easily to work by previous architects and designers, especially since it often uses fairly traditional materials, such as steel and concrete.

This was a quick and easy way to understand the difference between contemporary and modern architecture. So now when you are on your architectural travels you know what type of architecture you are looking at.

Often Modern architecture and Contemporary architecture are used interchangeably; however they really arent the same. Today in this article I will tell you the difference between contemporary and modern architecture.

The Honda CB Trigger 150cc bike is the fourth launch in the 150cc segment by the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer after the CB Unicorn, Dazzler and CBR150R. The latest offering is powered by a 150cc, four-stroke mill capable of pushing out 14.14PS @ 8,500rpm and boasts a torque figure of 12.5Nm @ 6,500rpm. Visually the new bike looks like a beefed-up version of CB Twister with some design elements influenced from the Dazzler. The CB trigger is the first bike in the country to have Combi Brake System (CBS) as an option. The CBS applies both the brakes simultaneously which aids stability under hard braking and reduces braking by as much as 32 per cent. Honda has loaded the new offering with features like mono-shock suspension, digital instrument

panel, tubeless tyres, maintenance-free battery and viscous air filter. The company claims that the CB Trigger will return a mileage of 60kmpl.

The bike will be offered in three variants namely Standard (disc brake in front and drum in

rear), Deluxe (disc brakes front and rear) and CBS (disc brakes

front and rear with CBS). The 150-180cc segment currently

contributed up to 10 per cent of the total

two-wheeler sales in the country

and with the CB Trigger Honda plans to increase its sales and

penetrate this segment deeper.

Angelina Jolie underwent a double mastectomy procedure -- the removal of both of her breasts -- in order to minimize her risk of breast cancer ... the actress revealed.

"Doctors estimated that I had an 87 percent risk of breast cancer and a 50

Dylan Patton in Jail Former "Days of our Lives" actor had some visitors -- a bunch of L.A. County Sheriff's deputies who raided his house and arrested him for selling cocaine. Cops got wind that the 20-year-old was allegedly selling coke out of his Agoura Hills home, so they sent an undercover cop in a few days ago to make a purchase. Patton is currently in jail. Bail has been set at $30,000. Patton made appearances on several shows throughout his career -- including "Cold Case" and "That's So Raven" -- but he's best known for the role of Will Horton on "Days of Our Lives," starring in numerous episodes of the soap between 2009-2010.
