Programme Setting Options

1. Up to 12 event times. i.e. times when the Mini-Programmer will switch ON or OFF. are available within a 24 hour period running from

12.00 a.m. (midnight) to 11.59 p.m. 2. These event times will switch ON and OFF either the Water and

Heating services together or .the Water service only. This is determin· ed by the setting of the SLIDE SWITCH marked 'WATER ONLY'/'WATER & HEAT'.

3. The unit is supplied with 4 of the 12 event times already set. This means that even if no further event times are added. and with the selector switch set to AUTO the unit will switch ON and OFF as follows:

4.

5.

4

ON at 6.30 a.m. OFF at 8.30 a.m. ON at 5.00 p.m. OFF at 10.30 p.m.

(N.B. This is only when the unit is in the AUTO programme selection. If set to OFF, ALL DAY. or CONSTANT. it will switch ON and OFF as stated on Page 9). If the pre-set programme is left unaltered. a total of four event times are used. which means you can set up to eight further event times in the 24 hour period. Any or all of the pre-set times can be cancelled if required. However. each pre-set event that is cancelled reduces the number of available events by one. so if all 4 pre-set times are cancelled this will leave a total of 8 event times that can be set. You do not have to use all of these if you do not want to; just set the times which you require. A typical programme. utilising the unit's features. is shown as an example on Page 13.

Override Facilities

There are two overrides which allow temporary changes to be made to the set programme. Both are self-cancelling. wh1ch means that the unit automatically reverts back to the set programme after the overnde period has elapseci. The hinged lower flap remains closed throughout. Neither overrides are operative if the programme selections are set to the OFF or CONSTANT positions + 1 Hour Override A s1ngle press of th& + 1 HOUR button turns the unit ON for an additional hour. Th1s does not alter the set programme times in any way. 1. If the unit is OFF and the + 1 HOUR button pressed once. it will

immediately switch ON for one hour. At the end of the one hour period. it will automatically switch OFF. During this penod. two indicator bars will appear on the display. one will appear under ON to show the unit is ON. An indicator bar will also appear under the word +1 HOUR. signifying that the +1 Hour override has been activated

2. II the unit is already ON. and the +1 HOUR button is pressed once. it will stay ON for a further one hour after it was programmed to switch OFF. At the end of this extra one hour period. the unit will switch OFF. and revert back to the set programme. The + 1 HOUR indicator bar will appear in the display for the whole of the remaining programmed ON time plus the extra hour.

3. If the + 1 HOUR button is pressed a second time. the + 1 Hour override is cancelled and the unit immediately reverts to the set programme.

Advance Override A single press of the ADVANCE button will change the unit from ON to OFF. or vice versa. and the unit will remain in that altered condition until the next programmed change is reached. The override will then be cancelled automatically and the unit will revert to the set programme. During the override period. if the unit is switched ON. the indicator bar will appear for the whole of the ON period. Conversely, the indicator bar will not appear if the ADVANCE button has been pressed to switch the service OFF. If the ADVANCE button is pressed a second time. the Advance override is cancelled and the unit will revert to the set programme.

Battery Reserve

An internal battery is fitted to the unit. This is automatically charged whilst the unit is connected to the Mains Supply and will last the life of the unit. The battery is fitted to memorise. for up to 8 hours, the Time of Day and Set Programmes. in the event of an interruption of the electricity supply or disconnection of the unit from the mains, for any reason. The unit is supplied with the battery not fully charged, and it will take up to 10 days after connection to the mains for the battery to become fully charged. It will, however have retained sufficient charge after 24 hours to perform a memory function, in the event of a short interruption to the Mains Supply.

To Re-set the Unit

After a severe electrical storm or senous fluctuations to the electricity supply. there is a slight possibility that the display may either stay at a f1xed time (indicated by the colon not flashing) or show spurious Information e.g. 18:88. Should this occur. the unit can easily be re-set. Alternatively. you may wish to re-mstate the factory pre-set programme wh1ch has been deleted. To do this 1. Switch off the Mains Supply to the unit. 2. Remove the unit from its wallplate by unscrewing the fixing screw in

the base of the unit. Th1s releases the wiring cover and allows the module to be removed by sliding it upwards away from the wallplate.

3 Turn the unit over to reveal the small hole in the back of the unit, about one inch down the unit. i.e.

0 0

4 Insert a thin probe 1.e. a matchstiCk into the hole. This causes all Time of Day and Programming memory to disappear. The unit will revert back to the pre-set programme and a time of 12.00 a.m., once it is re-connected to the Mains Supply.

5. To re-fit the module locate onto the wallplate and when flush with it slide the module down. ensuring the hook at the top of the w311plate engages with the slot in the back of the module. Replace the wiring cover and tighten the fixing screw.

6 Switch on the Mains Supply to the unit and re-set the Time of Day and programmes you require.
