Baptisms Every Sunday at 2:00 PM. Baptism classes,

for first-time parents and parents not married in the

Catholic Church, are held on the first Saturday of the

month, in the lower church, at 11:00 AM.

Reconciliation Saturdays at 9:30 AM and 25 minutes

before every weekday and weekend Masses.

Communion to the Homebound Please call the

Rectory to make arrangements for those homebound or

hospitalized.

Marriage Couples should call the Rectory to arrange a

meeting with a priest or deacon at least six months in

advance of their wedding.

Anointing of the Sick Call the Rectory at any time.

RCIA A series of classes presenting a deeper exploration

of the Catholic faith for adults which prepares them to

make a conscious choice to receive the Sacrament of

Baptism, First Holy Communion and Confirmation.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

First and foremost, I hope that all of you had a restful summer and enjoyed a peaceful Labor

Day celebration with your family and friends.

On Thursday, September 6th, we began our first day of School. In keeping with the beginning

of the school year, I began the year by blessing the whole school! I would like to extend a warm

welcome to our new principal, Mrs. Rosaria Mincher. May you and your faculty, teachers, children

and families have a very successful academic year!

On Wednesday, September 12th, we will begin our Religious Education program. I want to

extend a blessing to Mrs. Joan Baggs, CRE and Mrs. Patricia Dresch, Rel. Ed Secretary and all the

catechists and assistants for a very rewarding and successful spiritual year.

Once again, today at the 10:00 am family Mass , we began the year with the Blessing of all

Sports. We blessed our coaches and athletes as they begin their sports and wish them to stay safe

throughout the year . Also, on Sunday, Sept. 23rd at the 10:00 family Mass we will be having the

Blessing of the Backpacks . This is a tradition here at OLHC as we invite all students to come

celebrate the Mass for the beginning of the school year!

On Monday, September 11th, we will be having our annual Mass of Remembrance for those

who perished on 9/11. The Mass will be at 7:30 PM. We ask that all family and friends attend the

Mass to recognize each one of them. The names will be called and the bells tolled in their memory.

On Sunday, September 16th at the 10:00 am Family we will be celebrating Catechetical

Sunday. It is a day to acknowledge the dedication and commitment of our Catechists . Please join

us in appreciation for all that they do for the children in our Religious Education Program.

As you know, our 21st Annual Parish Golf outing is getting close. The committee members

have been working non-stop. This Sunday, Pat Lavin spoke so energetically about this Fund Raiser.

I wish to thank whole heartedly everyone who has been working so diligently. You are truly

committed to your parish. Please support this fundraiser in any way you can. Today, as well as the

following next two weekends, packages will be available and raffles will be sold as you exit the

Church.
