• Move to subject-specific groups

• Find a partner (take turns coaching)

• Discuss how things are going with using these tools

• Follow the conversation protocol to guide your conversation

• Person coaching fills in the collaboration sheet then hands it back

highlights from your conversations

• Head the chart paper with the subject that you teach

• Write each person’s name and school on the back of the chart paper

• Record information on chart paper from all four quadrants

Basic Conversation • Each teacher gets a sheet• Partner with a person• Coach begins by asking questions like…

– What’s working for you?– What are some indicators that let you know it’s

working?– How do these tools support students in learning and

you as you teach?– What other factors/ indicators are you paying

attention to?Remember that the teacher should do most of the

talking. Ask questions that open up the thinking. Remember to take notes and write key points that the person says. You are taking notes for the other person.
