Inspire them to strengthen that lifeline to their fam-ily for when times get tough.

To be eligible for the scapular promise, one must be enrolled in the Brown Scapular Confraternity. The members of the Confraternity have the added benefit of sharing in all the spiritual benefits of the Carmelite Order. 2020 - Pilgrimage to Eastern Europe and Oberammergau Passion Play - The Oberammergau Passion Play is shown only once every 10 yrs. It began with a miracle. In the 1600's, a dead-ly disease called "the Black Plague" killed about 1 in every 3 persons throughout Europe. The people of the little town of Oberammergau prayed to be spared and vowed to have a play depicting the Life and Passion of Je-sus. Those who were struck miracu-lously recovered and only a few people died in Oberammergau. Since 1634, more than 1600 villagers have partici-pated in the performance of the show every 10 yrs. For them, it's a labor of Love.

Baptisms

Parents desiring Baptism for their child must attend a class, preferably before the child’s birth. The clas-ses are held the first Thursday of each month at 7:30pm in the Louis Martin Conference Room in the Administration Bldg.
