PROCEDURE: This procedure establishes and outlines the handling of design and planning within a technical services agreement between TUI HOTELS and the respective individual hotel. TECHNICAL SERVICES General Where TUI HOTELS are involved in the development of a new hotel or is involved in the take-over and refurbishment of an existing hotel property, it is TUI HOTELS normal practice to enter into a technical services agreement. In this way TUI HOTELS technical staff work in conjunction with the owner's/developer's architects and consultants to guarantee that TUI HOTELS’ design, planning and operating standards are met. This, in turn enables TUI HOTELS to optimize a profitable hotel operation. Method To achieve this aim the technical services agreement includes the following 1. It is the policy of TUI HOTELS to apply common planning and design principles to the planning of new hotels and hotel renovations in order to maintain guest quality and comfort and a marketable image.

PROCEDURE:

This procedure establishes and outlines the handling of design and planning within a technical services agreement between TUI HOTELS and the respective individual hotel.

TECHNICAL SERVICES

GeneralWhere TUI HOTELS are involved in the development of a new hotel or is involved in the take-over and refurbishment of an existing hotel property, it is TUI HOTELS normal practice to enter into a technical services agreement. In this way TUI HOTELS technical staff work in conjunction with the owner's/developer's architects and consultants to guarantee that TUI HOTELS’ design, planning and operating standards are met. This, in turn enables TUI HOTELS to optimize a profitable hotel operation.

MethodTo achieve this aim the technical services agreement includes the following:

1. Space

Study of suitability of site Evaluation of alternative solutions to architecture Building Architecture Systematic and detailed space planning for each area of activity: i.e. Revenue earning/public areas All back-of-house services Administration External services Schematic planning and juxtaposition of all areas referred to above. Relating of spaces to the movement of guests, staff, goods and associated services.

2. Design

Preparation of brief to/for interior designer/architect and graphic designer.

Preparation of detailed schedules for furniture, furnishings and equipment.

Provision of detailed schedules of operating equipment.

Formulating with design team appropriate finishes to all surfaces consistent with good design operating procedures and maintenance.

Advising on the use of appropriate materials in all areas.

Detailed layout for food, beverage and conference areas.

3. Technical Planning

The evaluation operational requirements and planning: Kitchens Stillrooms Room services Preparation Departments Patisserie / Bakery Bars and Dispense Bars Food Counters and Buffets All forms of storage - refrigerated and non-refrigerated Laundry and Linen Room Front Office and Front Office Counters Office Layout Car Parks and parking Leisure activities including swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, solarium, massage.

4. Communications equipment

Detailed schedules and planning aids for the major communication installations, i.e.: Telephones Radio Television (including in-house film) Room management systems Audio-visual equipment Full range of guest and Company accounting systems Radio links and bleep (With full liaison with the TUI GROUP design team).
