Goals• Original Goal was to focus on Generation of Requirement for 3GPP• Group agreed on a stage approach

• Acceptance in 3GPP• Requirements for 802.21 from 3GPP

• New goals:• Generate Slide Package for 3GPP to request 3GPP support for 802.21 requirements• Place 802.21 work under a new or existing WI• Work together with 3GPP experts to generate relevant requirements

Methodology and Participation

• 4 Teleconferences were held:• Minutes recorded discussion• Off line discussion took place over e-mail• General questions were address over 802.21 reflector• Slide package updated based on Minutes of meeting

• As expected, conference were mostly attended by members with 3GPP exposure• Focus on generating a slide package that reflects 802.21 principles without alienating 3GPP folks

Achievements• 802.21-3GPP inter-working Slide Package

• Slide Package is produced based on 802.21 member with 3GPP background focusing on:

• Motivation for 802.32 to generate 3GPP requirements• Definition of main 802.21 concepts• Proposed way forward within 3GPP

• Off line work was conducted to resolve open issues• Meeting is scheduled for September 28th to present slide package within 3GPP System Aspects group (SA)

Next steps

•Get 802.21 approval of current slide package•Present the 802.21-3GPP interaction slide package in the coming SA meeting in Tallinn, Estonia• Place 802.21 requirements within either a new or an existing work item• Develop 3GPP requirement in cooperation with 3GPP experts from relevant 3GPP groups
