The Andy May Trio play high energy instrumental folk, inspired by the music of their native North East. A typical performance includes traditional tunes from Northumberland, newly-composed material by all members of the band and an introduction to the pipes, all delivered with a warmth and humour which is sure to draw in both folk afi cionados and newcomers alike for a dazzling show fi lled with virtuosity and energy.
Winstone Sat 12 Mar 2016 A wonderfully entertaining evening featuring a unique and enthralling band of four hugely successful multi-instrumentalists/singers, who have performed all over the world, from Sydney Opera House to The Edinburgh Festival. They draw on their English, Irish, Asian and Gallic heritage to present a sophisticated musical mélange of pop songs, Latin tunes, French chanson, gypsy jazz, folk and originals. With violin, cello, guitar, vocals and percussion.

Patricia Hammond, the ‘Canadian Nightingale’, has been performing the popular songs of the past since she was a little girl. Patricia strips the veneer from such favourites as ‘Keep the Home Fires Burning’ and ‘Pack up your Troubles’, restoring long-neglected verses to the wildly popular choruses and telling the stories behind the compositions. A truly beautiful and moving show.

How many times can one actor get killed during one performance? Find out in this brand new comedy based on the infamous tale of William Burke and William Hare. Three actors play all the parts and maybe, just maybe, are stretching the truth … quite a lot. In fact, Burke and Hare has a hysterical, rather than historical, basis. From the company that brought you The Hound of the Baskervilles, expect many murders, many men called William, and many more accents.

Open Sky bring to life two thousand year old stories using a happy mix of rhyme, movement, live music, song and puppetry. Monkey tries to wind up Buffalo. Pigeon saves Ant. Little Hare scares Deer, Ox, Tiger, and Elephant, until Lion steps in. And the Prince is indeed mighty, but is he mightier than the Giant? Based on stories for children told by the Buddha, each fable has a simple moral for young hearts and minds. An enchanting family show for ages 3 and above.

Laugh away those 21st century blues in the company of Flanders and Swann, here perfectly complemented by the words and wit of Sir John Betjeman. Featuring a cornucopia of songs, familiar and less familiar, the songs of Flanders and Swann are rooted in that vision of our recent past often called ‘Betjeman’s Britain’. Wallow in a little nostalgia for this by-gone world and the more gentle humour exemplifi ed by these arch-observers of the national character
