SATURDAY: Strong starting pitching from Cole Gordon and a big game from Jake Mangum powered the Ponies en-route to a doubleheader sweep against the Sea Dogs. In game 1, Gordon tossed a 7 inning shutout and Carlos Rincon had 3 RBI on 2 doubles to give the Ponies a 4-0 win. In game 2, the Ponies took a 3-0 lead before Portland came back to tie the game in the 4th inning. Mangum delivered a 2-run single for his 3rd and 4th RBI of the game to put the Ponies on top 5-3.

GORDON'S GREAT!: Last night's game 1 starter Cole Gordon continued his dominant stretch with a complete game (7 innings) shutout allowing only 3 hits and 2 walks while striking out 4. Gordon hasn't allowed a run in his last 4 starts (24 innings) and has 5 walks to 32 strikeouts during this stretch.
