At Salesian College Sunbury, we strive to be a Faith Community committed to Excellence in Learning. The College Uniform is a visible symbol of the College and a public declaration of its values, standards, and beliefs.

It creates a sense of individual and collective pride in students and their identification with the College. It is a symbol of equality among students and demonstrates mutual respect. Wearing the uniform correctly is an expectation for all students enrolled at the College.

The school uniform draws attention to our College, and great care should be taken to ensure it is worn with pride and respect. When the uniform is neat and tidy, our visitors, parents and community view us with the warmest respect. People like seeing students presented as respectable and friendly. Our College uniform is practical, attractive and highlights our values and character.

In 2017, we saw the introduction of a new College uniform. This uniform will be rolled out over a period of time. This allowed existing students to continue to wear the existing College uniform.

• All students from Years 7 to Year 10 are to wear the new rebranded College Uniform.• All current Year 11 to Year 12 students will continue to wear the previous College Uniform.• New students coming to the College in Years 11 through to Year 12 are to purchase the new, rebranded

College uniform. • There will be no mix and match of the previous branded and new, rebranded uniform items.

Blazer, Shirts, Ties, Excursions

The College Blazer is to be worn to and from school every day (except if students from the Savio Campus [Years 7 and 8] and Mazzarello Campus [Year 9] are in PE uniform).

In the case of extreme heat, students will be notified that they do not need to wear their Blazer to/from school.

The new College white jack shirts are designed to be worn untucked, without being seen below either the College Blazer or jumper/vest.

Years 7 to Year 10 students wearing the skirt (winter uniform) will not need to wear a College tie.

When representing the College at excursions, or travelling to and from the College, it is expected that students wear their entire uniform correctly.

PE Jacket and RaincoatThe navy lined showerproof Yachtman’s Raincoat has a hood made with waterproof fabric that can be folded up into the collar.

The new rebranded navy raincoat can be worn to and from school when it is raining. The raincoat is not to be worn at school.
