Dear All,

We are glad to inform that Indian Rubber Institute (IRI) is organizing IRC-2020, an International RubberConference with the theme “SUSTAINABLE TECHNOLOGY, INNOVATION AND MOBILITY” & Expo during 15th-17thOctober, 2020 at Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai, India. This is the official designated conference of InternationalRubber Conference Organization (IRCO), London. International Rubber Conference Organization (IRCO) is anassociation of rubber societies around the world which prepares the calendar for major International RubberConferences.

Indian Rubber Institute is an organization of thought leaders involved in the endorsement of education, trainingand research in the field of rubber and allied materials through its eight branches, affiliated with IRCO and ACS-Rubber division, USA. As a part of continuing education, IRI offers Post Graduate and Diploma courses (PG-DIRI andDIRI) in association with Rubber Technology Centre, IIT Kharagpur as Controller of Examinations. To enhance theeducational activities, IRI has decided to establish “Dr. D Banerjee Centre of Excellence” for enhancement of RubberTechnology Education, Training, Research & Skill Development at the premises of JSS Science & TechnologyUniversity, Mysuru, Karnataka, India. This centre will be a nodal centre for Skill Development & Training in AsiaPacific Region. The proceeds from this conference and Expo will be utilized in establishing the above Centre ofExcellence.

This conference will have two major focus; conference and exposition. We wish to cover all the major areas ofdevelopments of material, process, testing, simulation and modeling and design.

Indian Rubber Institute to enhance its activities in the field of rubber science& technology is setting up a Center of Excellence in the premises of JSSScience and Technology University, Mysore, Karnataka, India, for providingtraining, research and education to the people especially working in smalland medium sector rubber manufacturing units. They are also planning toprovide support in the areas of new technology development, productdesign, simulation and modeling, project planning, testing and evaluationand reconstruction of compounding formulation and its development.

The construction of 32000 square feet building is under progress. It will have an auditorium with a seatingcapacity of 250 people, training hall, full-fledged library, documentation centre, different laboratories foron the job training with miniature processing equipment. In addition, it will have laboratories for physical,dynamic, aged and fatigue testing of rubber compounds, equipment for failure analysis and reverseengineering of rubber products.
