MAKE YOUR AWARD-WINNING WINE STAND OUT
Ensure all companies you work with have access to DWWA logos and
certificates so that they can create point of sale materials to help you sell
more of your wine, to both the on and off-premise trade.
Update your website to display your medal alongside your award-winning wine to build and grow consumer trust in your wines and brand, and showcase your well-earned certificate in the winery to help with DTC sales.
BUY STICKERS NOW
‘Stickers on bottles absolutely help sell wine. Whenever there’s an external expert endorsement it really helps and having stickers from a competition that’s as reputable as Decanter I think is really important. Decanter is international so that automatically helps put it above other competitions.’
Beth Willard - DWWA Regional Chair & Buying Manager at Direct Wines
All winners can purchase medal stickers for corresponding medals at the dedicatedDecanter Awards shop. Stickers come in rolls of 1,000 and include free worldwide delivery.
INTERNATIONAL PR CAMPAIGN
Decanter works with a dedicated PR agency to deliver a global PR campaign focused on DWWA 2020 results news and stories. Utilise the main and country-specific press releases from DWWA 2020 to help promote and bolster the significance of your win.
“The DWWA really helps producers to raise their
profile internationally. It can do the same for
wine-producing regions and nations, too.
When consumers see a DWWA sticker on a bottle,
be it Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze, they can be
reassured that the wine in question has been judged
by regional experts and specialists before receiving
its medal. We discuss, we argue, we fight it out...
that’s all part of the judging fun. Even with social
distancing! But that’s also how you get the results
which have made the DWWA an
international wine benchmark.”
Andrew Jefford, DWWA 2020 Co-Chair

“Was it all going to happen? There was a big question mark over that... I think it’s a wonderful thing that the DWWA was able to happen this year. I think it’s a point of focus for a lot of the wine trade around the world really. It is the biggest competition of all and so the fact that we’ve
been able to keep going and to make it happen I think has given everybody heart. ”
-Andrew Jefford, DWWA 2020 Co-Chair
“The competition has been terrific, it has been a perfect atmosphere to taste and judge this year.
After months of lockdown and uncertainty everyone has been delighted to be back again,
working together, sharing ideas and thoughts, and above all, focused on picking out the great wines from this year. There have been some wonderful discoveries. As ever Best in Show day was tough,
narrowing down to 50 top wines.”
