Thursday, August 1310:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Event Check-In | Clock Tower Please check-in at the Clock Tower to receive nametags for you and your registered parents/guests, your Eagle Card, Room Key, Housing documents, event schedule, and other event materials.

11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Transitional Studies Program Session Memorial HallThis session is REQUIRED for students in the Transitional Studies Program (TSP). Students required to attend this session will receive information in their EagleMail.

11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Flex Time This time is open for students and guests to participate in Flex Time Sessions listed below. Lunch is on your own and we encourage you to visit one of the many restaurants in Chadron.

9:30 a.m.– 6:00 p.m. Info Kiosk/First Aid | Clock Tower

10:00 a.m.– 4:00 p.m. One-Stop Shop | Student Center BallroomTake care of last-minute business before official programing begins:

• Request official major/degree program changes and update your class schedule

• Meet with an Academic Advisor/START Advisor for any enrollment needs

• Ask questions regarding financial aid, scholarships, and your plan to pay

• Meet with Student Health Services to submit paperwork and ask questions

• Visit with VA/Military Services and/or ROTC• Bill Pay: If you are paying with check or cash, you

can visit the Business Office in the Crites Hall Lobby from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday - Friday. Credit card payments can only be made online via your MyCSC account.

11:00 a.m.– 4:00 p.m. Technology Assistance IT Help Desk | King LibraryPlease bring your laptop, tablet, and/or other devices with you for assistance connecting to the CSC Network. Also, set up your phone to receive emails from your EagleMail Account.

1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Where’s My Classroom? Campus Tours Clock Tower Nervous about finding your way on your first day? Take a Where’s My Classroom tour!

3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Eagle Mentor Meet & Greet | Dean’s GreenLearn about the Eagle Mentor program, then connect with your assigned mentor to get to know them.

4:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Eagle Welcome | Dean’s GreenPresident, Dr. Randy Rhine, will officially welcome you as the CSC Class of 2024. We will review the schedule of events and introduce you to our team.

4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Welcome Picnic | Lawn Between the Student Center and King LibraryJoin our staff and your classmates and their families for a picnic dinner. This is a classic style picnic, so please bring a blanket or lawn chair with you for seating. Limited seating will be provided for those who need it. Please be aware that the weather may be hot, so come prepared with hats/sunscreen/etc. if you prefer.

STUDENTS:

9:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. Eagle Expectations | Memorial Hall This is a REQUIRED session. We will give you inside knowledge about what it takes to be successful in the CSC classroom, how to make relationships with your professors, and review our expectations of you.

10: 30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. Faculty Advising | Various Locations This is a REQUIRED session. Meet with all the faculty from your academic department, learn more about your degree program, and interact with your fellow classmates. You will be escorted to your Academic Department meetings by our Move-In staff, following the 9:00 a.m. Eagle Expectations session.

9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Parent Session: It’s a Team Effort! Armstrong Gymnasium Be advised, the content and length of these sessions may not be suitable for young children. Help us give your student the best CSC experience. Participate in a panel discussion on the important role you play in helping us support your student during their first-year at CSC. Students will experience many triumphs and tribulations as they make the transition from your “nest” to ours. This session will provide an explanation of the programs and services offered at CSC to assist students so that you are equipped with the knowledge to help your student seek any needed support.

STUDENTS: 8:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Hypnotist sponsored by RLA | Memorial Hall This is a REQUIRED session for students. Rob Hackenson Jr. presents on Alcohol Awareness and other useful health information in a unique and fun way.
