CASCADE™ BOLT-ACTION RIFLEThe CASCADE™ is CVA’s first ever bolt-action centerfire rifle. Long the leader in both muzzleloading rifles and single-shot centerfires, CVA® has applied it’s nearly 50 years of experience into making what we feel to be the best bolt-action on the market at $600 or below. The CASCADE’s 4140 carbon steel barrel is finished in a rich matte blue or available in Cerakote® Flat Dark Earth. The series features a threaded muzzle, making it ready for a brake or suppressor whenever you are. The bolt design incorporates a 70° throw for smooth and fast operation, plus generous scope clearance. The two-position safety is conveniently located for natural and instantaneous operation. And loading is a breeze with its four-round, flush-fit, detachable magazine.

Our own synthetic stock is fiber-glass reinforced and has a SoftTouch finish, available in either charcoal gray or Veil Wideland™ camo, for easy gripping, even in the harshest weather conditions. The buttstock has adjustable length of pull by way of a removable spacer – making the CASCADE™ an ideal gun for still-growing youths, small-statured adults, or even the full-sized hunter who wants to shorten his stock to accommodate heavy winter clothing. And dual front swivel studs allow for the use of both a sling and a bi-pod at the same time.

Scoping up the CASCADE™ is a breeze, as it is compatible with two piece mounts built for the Savage® 110 AccuTrigger™ models, which are available almost anywhere.

PARAMOUNTTM AND PARAMOUNTTM PROThe PARAMOUNT™ and PARAMOUNT™ PRO are unlike any other muzzleloading rifle on the market. These rifles were developed and designed to handle “super-magnum” propellant charges – and thus provides the higher velocities necessary for killing shots at 300 yards and beyond.

The PARAMOUNT™ produces velocities in excess of 2200 FPS but, this is worth nothing without the accuracy to put those shots where they belong. IMPORTANT SAFETY REMINDERSBEWARE OF LOADING GIMMICKSMany new shooters are coming into muzzleloading and with the constant changes in terminology, it is more important than ever for all muzzleloader users to understand how to safely load and shoot their muzzleloader.

NEVER USE SMOKELESS POWDER IN ANY MUZZLELOADERSome manufacturers, including CVA®, are now offering guns that are designed to shoot heavier than standard powder charges and/or projectiles. New shooters may become confused by the advertising for these rifles and attempt to use heavier charges and/or projectiles in older guns, which were not designed to handle the resulting high pressures. Even some experienced shooters have made this mistake. Some have also used what is known as a “duplex load,” which is a mixture of blackpowder and smokeless powder. Any percentage of smokeless powder in a duplex load may create pressures almost equal to pure smokeless charges and could cause a blackpowder gun to explode. Make no mistake about it — these loading practices can be incredibly dangerous! All shooters need to fully understand the recommended loads for each blackpowder gun they own.
