September18 — When Things Go Wrong in the OutdoorsAttend this conference to increase your knowledge of key aspects of wilderness medicine—from minor injuries like sprains and strains to natural hazards like extreme altitude, heat and cold—and be able to advise patients (and friends) who may be heading into the outdoors. All health care providers are encouraged to attend this one-day conference.

25 — 15th Annual NW Regional Hospital Medicine ConferenceOHSU’s annual update in Hospital Medicine is geared towards inpatient physicians and advanced practice providers. In addition to Literature Reviews, presentations will emphasize inpatient management of acute coronary syndrome, acute respiratory failure, delirium tremens, pneumonia, COVID-19, and infectious complications of common biologic therapeutic agents.

October2-3 — 21st Annual Oregon Geriatric Society ConferenceThe OGS conference is designed for physicians, nurse practitioners and other health care professionals who work with older adults in various care settings. Topics this year will include hypertension, dementia, and care transistions, among other important updates.

15-16 — 44th Annual Pacific Northwest Update in OB-GYN and Women's HealthOHSU Ob-Gyn faculty will share their expertise on clinically relevant topics through multi-disciplinary perspectives, informative plenary sessions, and focused breakout sessions. Keynote lectures are titled,“Primary Care for the Older Patient,” and “Multidisciplinary Approach to Pelvic Pain.”

23 — 15th Annual Pediatric ReviewThis year's review will be condensed into one amazing day of learning! It will focus on practical approaches to pediatric primary care that you can apply to use for everyday practice. The 2020 Cindy Ferrell Keynote Lecturer will be Dana Hargunani, MD, MPH, Chief Medical Officer of the OHA.

30 — Musculoskeletal Update for Primary CareThis year’s course will focus on the treatment and management of pain, including the use of physical therapy and medications. Attendees will explore how the overlap of rheumatology and orthopedic knowledge can help determine whether the problem is mechanical or inflammatory.

December11 — Managing Autism and Other Developmental Disabilities: An Update for Primary CareThis conference will focus on children and youth with developmental disabilities. The afternoon will include a panel of providers, parents and patients discussing the transition from pediatric care to adulthood.

November13 — Pediatric GI for Primary CareThe focus of this conference is pediatric gastroenterology. Specifically, you will learn practical approaches to problems commonly seen in the office. Faculty will include OHSU providers as well as community physicians from the Willamette Valley.

American Medical Association: All activities have been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 credits™.
