Founded in 1999, everywoman has been at the forefront of the movement for gender
parity in the workplace. With 20 years experience uncovering untapped talent in an
organisation’s workforce, everywoman works with companies to provide a framework to
directly address gender diversity goals with shareholders, employees and customers.
We have had the privilege of building a community of over 100 corporate partners and a
network of over 25,000 women globally. Through our forums, awards and e-learning
platforms we provide education and inspiration across a wealth of industries.
In 2020 we are delighted to be launching a forum and awards programme to directly
address the needs of women working within the sport and fitness industries. We hope to
see you there.

Elevating and empowering
everywoman produces a leading suite of Awards bringing together current
industry leaders to recognise and celebrate the rising stars and leaders whose
contribution will secure their sector’s future success. The Awards provide a
platform for showcasing the ideas, innovation and resilience within every
woman.
Distinguished judges select from hundreds of nominations to narrow down the
outstanding talent of each industry. On Judging Day, all the finalists are
interviewed by the judges and a group deliberation selects the winners of
each category as well as a Woman of the Year.

The sport industry in the UK contributes significantly to the economy,
generating an estimated annual revenue of £28 billion. However, despite a
growing industry workforce of more than 900,000, women remain under-
represented both within industry and on the playing field.
Given the importance of sports in the overall health and well-being of the UK
population, there is a lot of focus currently on the development of role models
and wider attraction and retention to encourage more women to get active.
Key to this is ensuring the industry itself represents its customers and that all
parts of the industry and the national governing bodies themselves, have more
than the 30% of women on the board currently estimated.
With this in mind, and with the aim of supporting the overall advancement of
women in sport, everywoman will be hosting an awards programme in 2020 that
will celebrate those stand out individuals moving the gender diversity agenda
forward – both on and off the field.
Introduction to theeverywoman in Sport Awards
Founders, Maxine Benson MBE and Karen Gill MBE#ewSportsAwards
‘You can’t be what you can’t see.’Role models are important – highlighting successful individuals leading the
way provides inspiration and success for all those that go after. The
everywoman in Sport Awards will celebrate individuals (both male and
female) who have achieved something extraordinary.
Nominated by their peers and assessed by an accomplished panel of judges,
the judging process will culminate in a star studded ceremony.
Progressive companies understand the value of creating opportunities to
learn from successful role models and build an influential, supportive
network.
While more women than ever are choosing to follow a career in the sports
industry, there is still work to be done when it comes to creating a culture
and foundation that supports growth and development. Supporting the
awards positions you as a leading brand, committed to creating an inclusive
industry that values diverse points of view.

The Awards process
#ewSportsAwards
Nominations
The nominations process opens the previous
year to any woman working in the sports
industry. Self-nomination is allowed and even
encouraged.
Once nominations close, all entries are
scored and a shortlist is drawn up. The
shortlisted are invited to Judging Day for a
face-to-face interview.
Shortlisted candidates are interviewed by a
judging panel comprised of industry pioneers
and thought leaders, who select finalists and
winners for each category.
Each candidate is scored based on their
contribution to their organisation, their
influence as a role model and their work in
promoting others in the industry.
Judging Day
The awards ceremony starts with a drinks
reception for all guests. During the Awards
dinner, winners from each category are
announced.
A final award is presented to the Woman of
the Year: this is a finalist selected by the
judging panel who they feel is an outstanding
role model who encourages more women to
choose a career in sports.
