CHATEAU EXCURSIONFor those who choose this Option–After Buffet Breakfast in the Palace, we meet Ivana and Board our Coach for the drive to the Nelahozeves Castle Complex. We'll first tour DVORAK's Birth-House, seeing where he lived and memorabilia ofDvorak's life and works.
Then, NELAHOZEVES CASTLE- owned by the Lobkowitz Family, built in the 16th Century by Florian Griespeach, seeing its Art Collection of 16th-19th Century works– Velasquez, Rubens, and Canaletto.
LUNCHEON with Wine will be provided at the Castle.
We then leave the Castle and drive to the charming TROJA CHATEAU to visit this charming Chateau and the special Modern Art Sculpure exhibition of Jan Kovarik.

We then stroll to the historic landmark KLEMENTINUM MIRROR HALL, whose organ Mozart played, to attend the Prague Dvorak Symphony Orchestra Concert of:

Friday, June 19: (B)OLD TOWN WALKING TOUR: After our Buffet Breakfast at the Palace—We meet our Guide Ivana Kalendova and
first visit Prague's Wenceslas Square. We then continue to its historic Old Town
Square, visiting the Church of our Lady, St. Nicolas Church, the renowned Astronomical Clock and other Prague sights.
We'll stroll across its historic Charles Bridge to view both sections of Prague.
After our tour, we'll have time for an Independent Lunch in Old Town.
Evening—Tonight, we meet in the Palace Lobby and board our coach for the drive to the NATIONAL THEATER to attend:

Sunday, June 28: (B, D) FREE DAY– At your option, you may attend the LIPIZZANER'S Professional Spanish Horse Riding Performance – with Full Dress and Music; OR –Mass at Hofburg Chapel with the singing of the Vienna Boys Choir.
Evening—This evening, we meet Regina in the Grand Lobby, and board our Coach for the drive through illuminated Vienna- seeing its sights at night, driving into the Vienna Woods first stopping at Cobenzl for a lovely view of Vienna below.
We then drive down to GRINZING, the charming Wine Village, for our VIENNESE DINNER with young Viennese Wines and Music, at the popular Heuriger Restaurant – Werner Welser.
After Dinner, we meet our coach for our return to the Grand.
Monday, June 29: (B) FREE DAY; OR OPTIONAL BELVEDERE & LEOPOLD MODERN ART MUSEUMS: For those choosing this option–After Breakfast, we'll meet Regina in the Grand Lobby, board our Coach and drive First: To the renowned Upper Palace Belvedere AUSTRIAN GALLERY OF MODERN ART- We first walk through its lovely gardens with a view to Vienna's center & see masterworks of Viennese painters around 1900- Klimt, Schiele, Gerstl, & Kokoshka; Biedermeier paintings and French Impressionists works. Saturday, June 27: (B) VIENNA HISTORY WALKING TOUR:
After Buffet Breakfast at the Grand, we meet Regina, for our Guided Tour through Vienna's Historic First District:
We first stroll through the Ringstrasse to Vienna's Landmark, the magnificent ST. STEPHAN'S CATHEDRAL for our Guided Tour of this Cathedral.
We continue through Vienna's 1st District, seeing Private Palaces, Courtyards, and pass by the Mozart Figaro House.
Next– we visit the interesting Vienna House of Music, viewing the history of its music, Conductors, and the Vienna Philharmonic.
We see demonstrations of how music and sounds are made; Music rooms of Vienna Composers– Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Strauss and Mahler; and have the opportunity to conduct the Vienna Philharmonic via an inter-active Video. Evening—This evening, we meet in the Grand Lobby and stroll across the Square to the Vienna Staatsoper to attend Verdi's

Thursday, June 25: (B) FINE ARTS MUSEUM TOUR: After Buffet Breakfast in the Grand, we meet our Viennese Guide Regina Engelmann , and have a lovely stroll through the important sights on the Ring— the Burg Garden, Hofburg, and other sights. We'll then have our guided tour of the KUNSTHISTORISCHE MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS, built in 1891 to house the Imperial Hapsburg Family Collections – seeing its impressive Collection– including the largest Bruegel Collection in the world, and Masterworks of Raphael, Vermeer, Velazquez, Rubens, Rembrandt, Dürer, Titian and Tintoretto. We'll visit the renovated Wunderkammer Collection of precious objects, and see many amazing creative art decorative works. Monday, July 6: (B) GUIDED VERONA TOUR
After Buffet Breakfast in the Due Torri, we meet our Veronese Guide, Dr. Cecilia Castagna & board our Coach for our Tour of VERONA:
First, we drive to the Church on the hills above Verona, to see its beautiful Panorama sights.
Next- to the BASILICA SAN ZENO, famous for its 12th century Bronze-Engraved doors telling the stories of the Old and New Testaments.
We continue to the Fortress-Castelvecchio for a lovely view of Verona; and by Teatro Romano, still used for Shakespeare plays.
Our Coach takes us to the Old Town– for our walking tour of the VERONA CENTER. We'll visit the Scaligeri Tombs showing the power of the ancient rulers; the Romeo and Juliet Houses, Piazza Bra, surrounding the impressive Arena Di Verona where Verona's Annual Opera Festival takes place; the Piazza Erbe (Old Fruit Market) and Piazza Dante.

Tuesday, July 7: (B, L) LAKE GARDA–SIRMIONE VILLAGE: After Buffet Breakfast in the Due Torri, we board our Coach and drive to SIRMIONE– the old Walled-Fortress town at picturesque Lake Garda. We'll have our Private Boat Cruise on lovely Lake Garda, seeing the beautiful Peninsula around the Lake, the Catullus Caves (Roman Villa ruins) and Maria Callas' former house. After our Cruise– we have free time to visit Sirmione– See the Catullus Caves, have a coffee, or walk through this quaint walled-town to see its stores and do some shopping. We then drive to Vallegio for our ITALIAN LUNCHEON FIESTA with Wine at the popular Ristorante Antica Locanda Mincio, a lovely setting on the Banks of the River Mincio, featured in Gourmet Magazine and well-known for its tasty home-made Tortellini. Next – We'll drive to Milan’s famous CATHEDRAL, one of the finest Gothic Architectures in Italy, to tour the Cathedral and visit the impressive Galleria.

After English Breakfast at the May Fair- we meet our Guide and board our Coach– First driving to:
The TOWER OF LONDON-built by William the Conqueror - to see the Prisons, housing famous patriots and Royal Monarchs. Then we see the incredible Crown Jewels.
Next – We'll drive to the Landmark ST. PAUL'S CATHEDRAL- one of the most famous and recognizable sights of London. With its awe-inspiring interior and great dome, it is definitely one of London's major architectural masterpieces.
Thursday, July 16: (B, L) TATE & TATE MODERN MUSEUMS:
After our English Breakfast in the May Fair, we board our Private Coach for the drive to:
TATE MUSEUM- to see its extensive Permanent British Art Collection from 1500 to today– fine works of Hogarth, Reynolds, Gainsborough, Constable and Turner.
We then Board the Tate Boat for a short Cruise on the River Thames- to the TATE MODERN MUSEUM to see its Modern Art Collection– including works by Picasso, Rothko, Matisse, Beuys, and Surrealism works.
We'll then drive to Shakespeare's Old Globe Theater for a backstage tour; and then enter the charming SWAN RESTAURANT above the Globe for our LUNCHEON with Wine.

After our English Breakfast, we meet our Guide and board our Coach for the drive to BUCKINGHAM PALACE, official Residence of Britain's Sovereigns since 1837, for a visit of its interior. Following that, we'll take our place outside the Palace to view the traditional Changing of the Guards.
We'll next drive to WESTMINSTER ABBEY- for an extensive Tour of the historic Abbey- an Architectural Masterpiece of the 13th - 16th centuries- the shrine of St. Edward the Conqueror, and the traditional place of Coronation, Royal Weddings and burials of English Monarchs- seeing the Monarchs' Tombs and important elements of the Abbey.
Evening—Tonight, we meet in the May Fair Lobby and board our Coach for the drive to the ROYAL OPERA HOUSE to attend Verdi's
DON CARLO, Featuring Gerezmava, Garanca; Fabiano, Domingo, Furlanetto/ Farnes (Royal Opera House).
After "Don Carlo", we return to the May Fair.

Afternoon/Evening—This afternoon, we meet in the Grand Lobby, and board our Coach for our return to the GLYNDEBOURNE OPERA FESTIVAL to attend the New Production of Beethoven's
FIDELIO, featuring Bell, Gansch; Philip, Buratto, Atkins, Kupfer, White/ Ticciati(Glyndebourne Opera Festival). During the Intervals between the Acts, our DINNER with wine is provided for us, at the fine Glyndebourne Gourmet Restaurant “Middle & Over Wallap".
Sunday, July 26: (B) After English Breakfast at the Eastbourne
Grand, we meet our Hostess in the Grand Lobby and board our Coach for the transfer to LONDON'S HEATHROW AIRPORT, for our return flights home.[*Note– As it is a 2 hour or more drive, Air Flights should be booked for late afternoon or the evening].

The afternoon is at leisure to relax and unpack until our Dinner this evening. Evening– We meet in the Grand Lobby and procced to its elegant Garden Room for our WELCOME EASTBOURNE DINNER with Wine.
Friday, July 24: (B, D) FREE DAY; OR OPTIONAL LEWES CASTLE TOUR:
For those choosing this Option: After English Breakfast in the Grand, we
meet our Guide and board our Coach for the drive to Lewes Castle.
LEWES CASTLE stands at the highest point of Lewes, East Sussex, on an artificial mound constructed with Chalk Blocks. The Castle was built in 1069 by William de Warenne, 1st Earl of Surrey, the son-in-law of William the Conqueror.
We'll have a Guided Tour of the interesting extensive Castle Interior.
We then return to the Eastbourne Grand, with time for an Independent Light Lunch; or to relax and prepare for the Glyndebourne Performance of “Serail” this evening.

Afternoon/Evening—This evening, we return to the GLYNDEBOURNE OPERA, to attend Mozart's ENTFUHRÜNG AUS DEM SERAIL, featuring Oropesa, Takala; Mitterrutzner, Adam, Jerkunica/ Carter (Glyndebourne Opera Festival).
During the Intervals between the Acts, our DINNER with Wine is provided for us at Glyndebourne's“Nether Wallop Carvary".
Thursday, July 23: (B, D) BRIGHTON ROYAL PAVILLION: After English Breakfast at the Grand, we meet our Guide and board our Coach for the drive to BRIGHTON- the lovely Seaside Resort- to visit the iconic Royal Pavillion– a distinctive Asian-style Palace built for King George IV, whose rooms and Gardens are fully restored.
We'll then have a stroll around Brighton.We return to Eastbourne with time for an
Independent light Lunch at the Grand, or the nearby Italian Restaurant- Locanda Del Duca.
Afternoon/Evening—This afternoon, we meet in the Grand Lobby and drive to the GLYNDEBOURNE OPERA FESTIVAL with time to stroll around and explore the lovely Glyndebourne Grounds.
Then- we enter the Glyndebourne Opera Theater to attend the New Production of Handel's
ALCINA, featuring Mkhita, Stephany, Minasyan, Miles; Pierce, Amereau, Giu/ Capuano (Glyndebourne Opera Festival).
During the long interval between the Acts, we will enjoy a Bistro-style DINNER at Glyndebourne's"Mildmay Restaurant".
Monday, July 20: (B) CHURCHILL WAR ROOMS: After English Breakfast at the May Fair, we meet our Guide and board our Coach for the drive to to the historic CHURCHILL WAR ROOMS for an extensive Tour and explanation of these historic rooms, and to see how Sir Winston and his staff operated to save the country during World War II.[Note: If available, we may also arrange an inside Guided Tour of Parliament] After our visit, our Coach returns us to the May Fair. Evening– Free Evening in London; OR OPTIONAL ATTENDANCE of a hit London Musical at a West End Theater– most probably the current production of Les Miserables (Sondheim Theater).

Monday, August 24: (B) SALZBURG WALKING TOUR:
After Buffet Breakfast at the Sheraton- we meet our long-time Guide Heidi Federle for an interesting walking tour of SALZBURG.
We'll first stroll through the gorgeous MIRABELL GARDENS and enter the PALACE, seeing its grand Foyer and the Grand Staircase where many young couples have their wedding.
We'll then continue our stroll through the quaint old Cobblestone Streets, to the "Old Town" LINZERSTRASSE ("Old Roman Road"), and proceed to the main Cemetery and its historic Mausoleum.
We'll see some important burial sites, including the burial site of Mozart's Widow Costanza and her family.
We then cross over the Salzach River to the Center, to first visit the Cathedral where Mozart was baptized.
Next– the Collegiate Church; and the Residenz–Archbishop's Palace. If time permits, we can visit its Royal Apartments.
Then– the Old Town Squares, Festival Theaters where our Festival performances take place, and the Getreidegasse– the main shopping street with its famous trade signs.
Evening—Tonight, we meet in the Sheraton Lobby and board our Coach to drive to the GROSSES FESTSPIELHAUS to attend Mozart's:
DON GIOVANNI, featuring Pavlova, Lombardi; Luciano, Priante, Kares/ Currentzis

Tuesday, August 25: (B, D) SALZKAMMERGUT EXCURSION: After Buffet Breakfast in the Sheraton, we meet Heidi, and board our Coach for an extraordinary day as we drive through the beautiful Salzkammergut Lake region around Salzburg to explore its beauty– 1st- to HALLEIN- To have a special Tour of its Salt Mines and understand its history and importance to the region. Then to ST. GILGEN- to stroll through the charming Village and see Mozart’s Mother’s house, where his sister Nannerl later retired. Next– our BOAT CRUISE on beautiful Lake Wolfgangsee to view the lovely countryside and charming Villages around the Lake to ST. WOLFGANG- We’ll Tour the famous Pilgrimage Church and see its unique altars.We then have time at leisure to walk through this quaint Village and shops. Independent light Luncheon can be had at the White Horse Inn, the subject of a popular Viennese Operetta. We’ll then Drive to MONDSEE- the charming Village where the "The Sound of Music" movie was partially filmed and see the Church where the “The Sound of Music” Wedding took place. At day's end, we drive to the elegant SCHLOSS FUSCHL to have Independent cocktails in its Lounge. DINNER with Wine is at its Terrace, with a view of lovely Lake Fuschl, as the sun goes down and lights come on around the Lake.

Sunday, August 30: (B, D) FREE DAY–Today, our last day, is free to exlore other sights in Salzburg on our own, shop, or pre-pack for our return home the following day.
Evening—This evening, we meet in the Sheraton Lobby.
We'll board our coach for the drive to the popular ALT SALZBURG Restaurant for our FAREWELL DINNER With Wine.
After Dinner, we stroll to the GROSSES FESTSPIELHAUS for our Finale– The:
BERLIN PHILHARMONIC CONCERT/ Petrenko-Trifonov, Pianist performing:
Beethoven's Emperor Piano Concerto No. 3; and Suk's Symphony in C min. Op. 27

Wednesday, August 26: (B, L) MOZART MUSIC TOUR:
After our Buffet breakfast at the Sheraton, we meet Heidi and first walk to the Mozart’ WOHNHAUS, where the Mozarts lived.
We'll tour the Autogaphenkeller led by its Curator, seeing Mozart’s original Music Manuscripts in the Mozarteum Archives.
We then enter the Wohnhaus, to view the Mozart’ exhibits and musical instruments from his days.
If available, we'll see an interesting Video of “Mozart in Salzburg”.
Then on to the GEBURTSHAUS (Mozart’s Birth-House) for a Special Private Concert on Mozart’s Piano there.
After the concert, Heidi will lead us through the Mozart family Rooms and exhibits.
We then have our LUNCHEON with Wine at the traditional ST. PETERSKELLAR.
Evening—Tonight, we meet in the Sheraton Lobby; and board our Coach to drive to the HAUS FÜR MOZART to attend Mozart's:
DIE ZAUBERFLÖTE, featuring Rae, Mühlemann, Nazarova; Nazmi, Peter, Plachetka/ Mallwitz
(Haus Für Mozart).

Friday, August 28: (B) SCHLOSS HELLBRUNN EXCURSION:
After our Buffet Breakfast in the Sheraton, we board our Coach for the drive to Schloss Hellbrunn, the Salzburg Archbishop's former Summer Home.
We'll see and participate in the Schloss' famous Water Games, Trick Fountains and its Grottos, to understand the Archbishop's sometimes strange sense of humor.
We can then visit the Schloss' Interior and walk through its lovely Park and Gardens.
When our visit concludes, our Coach will drive us back to the Sheraton.

We meet Heidi and board our Coach for the drive through the Bavarian Alps to Prien.
On arrival, we'll board our Boat for the short Cruise on beautiful Lake Chiemsee to the HERRENCHIEMSEE ISLAND.
We'll tour the Herrenchiemsee Castle and Gardens, built in the style of the French “Versailles” by “Mad” King Ludwig II, the friend and patron of Richard Wagner.
LUNCHEON is provided at the popular Schlosswirtschaft Herrenchiemsee.
After Lunch, we board our Coach for our return to the Sheraton.
