Encourage Digital Cookie
Girls who participate in Digital Cookie can set up their very own website to share with customers so they can order
cookies and pay online. GSNETX covers the fees on these transactions. Check the calendar for important
dates.
Start Selling Cookies!Starting 1/17, girls can
begin taking orders, sharing their Digital Cookie sites online,
go door to door and launch their very own cookie business. Girl
Scouts should be honest & fair. No order taking prior
to 1/17.
Cookie Payment Drafts
GSNETX drafts 3 payments for cookie balances owed by
the troop. TCMs will receive an email the Thursday prior to a
draft & should ensure the troop has funds available to cover the
payment due. TCMs should regularly collect &
deposit money fromfamilies.
Keep Good Records & Enter
TransactionsMake sure to write receipts
each time money or cookies are exchanged with families or other troops. Transactions should be
entered into eBudde timely. This includes allocatng
cookies to girls.

Understanding the ProgramThe Girl Scout Cookie Program is based upon the proven benefits of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. When you volunteer to help girls, it’s not just what you do, but also how you do it.
Through the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, you have the opportunity to help girls realize their potential, build courage, confidence and character and run her very own cookie business. It’s important to let girls lead, take risks and hone their skills through their experiences.
The Cookie Program is focused on the 5 Skills that girls learn and master through their participation in the Cookie Program. Let’s take a look at what these skills should look like.
The Skills Behind The Program
GOAL SETTINGDECISION MAKING
BUSINESS ETHICSMONEY MANAGEMENT
PEOPLE SKILLS
Encourage girls to set personal goals based on rewards they most want to earn. The girls in the troop should work
together to set a goal and create a plan to achieve it.
Girls should decide collectively how troop proceeds should be spent. If they decide on a trip, for example, girls should plan the activities, research expenses and more.
Girl Scouts should always be honest and fair in business, which means making ethical choices, from
charging the right prices to not taking orders before 1/17.Let girls take the lead in handling inventory & money as age appropriate. Girls should feel empowered & build
confidence as they count packages & money accurately.Learning how to handle interactions, even if the
customer chooses not to purchase cookies is as important as practicing her pitch & her cookie knowledge.
Troops earn proceeds on each package of cookies the girls in the troop sell. There are also additional bonus tiers of proceeds based on certain criteria.
Base Proceeds $0.67/per packagePGA 230+ Bonus $0.05/per packageFall Product Bonus $0.02/per package
CSA Opt-Out Proceeds $0.10/per package
What is a Per Girl Average (PGA)? eBudde automatically calculates a troop’s PGA by taking the total number of packages assigned to a troop and dividing it by the number of Girl Scouts “selling”. A girl is considered “selling” if she has one or more packages assigned to her on the Girl Orders Tab.
How Troops Earn MoneyIt’s important that troops adhere to ACH payment deadlines by having funds available as well as complying with other important deadlines noted on the key dates.
Failure to submit orders timely, including rewards can impact the troop and girls negatively.
If reward selections are not made by the reward order deadline, default selections will be made by GSNETX as the girl forfeits her ability to choose.
To receive the Initial Order 100+ patch, the girl must have at least 100 packages allocated to her in eBudde at the time of the Initial Order. Similarly, to receive the 400+ Hoodie, the girl must have at least 400 packages allocated to her in eBudde at the time of the Initial Pre-Season Order. Initial Pre- Season Order rewards are exclusive to the initial order placed by 11/21/19.
