About Institute
Bakhtiyarpur College of Engineering (BCE) is one amongst the six new Government Engineering College established by the Government of Bihar under the Department of Science and Technology in 2016. BCE Patna is the birthplace of quality engineering education for the student of Bihar. Set up with the motto “knowledge leads to happiness”.

Bakhtiyarpur College of Engineering is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education(AICTE) and affiliated to Aryabhatta Knowledge University(AKU),Patna.
From Principal’s Desk
BCE-P stands on the promise of being dedicated to the nation in this respect, we aim to provide industry with the kind of employee pool that lends itself to the growth of the institute and indeed the nation, itself. BCE-P Seeks to improve upon this goal, the latest developments and the summer and winter Internship arrangement which ensures that our students learn beyond the boundaries of their own curricula, what is encouraging is the student’s participation in various technological and Socio-Cultural events in national events, considering the importance of these experiences in shaping their personalities as individuals. BCE-P invites the recruiters to the Campus Placement Programme and give this batch of graduating students an opportunity to prove themselves and add value to the organization they join. We wish this will be a positive experience for the recruiters and a step forward in building new relations.

At the Training and placement cell(TPC),we believe that students require a holistic environment to excel in the vocation of their choosing. The TPC aims to create an encouraging atmosphere by creating ample opportunities to students to hone their skills and performances to meet the challenges of the professional world. The Institute emphasizes upon the need to widen up possibilities to interact with corporates and leading research and academic institutions so that the students would get insights of the professional world at the formative stage of their career Industry interface is vital for building the intellectual capital of the institute. TPC commits itself to engage with the industry with more rigor and to draw mutual benefits to each other. For the TPC invites corporate personnel to deliver talks, encourages corporate houses to participate in the academic departments. TPC provide a platform to our students to interact with corporates leader whose guidance plays a significant role in shaping the professional career of the students. It is a matter of delight and pride that the recruiters are giving the widest pool of bright, energetic and enthusiastic students to choose from, best suited for their anticipation and demand.

BCE-P organizes Bihar’s largest Techno-Cultural fest with a footfalls of thousands of participants Varying different cultural and technical events a perfect blend of fun and frolic, of excitement and ecstasy, of devotion and dedication . It is the occasion for celebration and what brings alive.
ANNUAL SPORTS FEST-KAUSHAL MANTHAN
BCE-P organizes its annual sports fest named ‘KAUSHAL MANTHAN’ every year to enhance the competitive team spirit . Every year it becomes eyesight of thousands of participants across the country.

AICTE Chhatra Vishwakarma Award 2019
AICTE holding a competition “AICTE-Vishwakarma Awards” for the students and institutes of AICTE approved institution to encourage and motivate young students and institutions to raise their performance and development of the nation as a whole.

World Skill Competition
● WorldSkills - the global hub for skills excellence and development , brings youth, industries, and educators together to give youth the chance to compete, experience, and learn how to become the best in their skill of choice
● Aniket kumar Pathak won silver medal at National level in Skill India-18 (IT-SSB)
● 8 Participants won medals in State level competition

Skill Carnival
Skill Carnival was organized by Bihar Skill Development Mission from 2019 on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day.

About Training and Placement CellBCE Patna established its T&P Cell which provides 360 degree career solution to student. It established with the vision to “make every individual BCEians a career oriented person instead of a job oriented person”.
Various activities of T&P can be primarily categorized into three functions:-
1. Career development programs● Improved soft skills, professional communications and personality through career counselling by
professional agencies/experts.● Help prepare professional resume through conducting resume writing workshops management
development programs.● Assist the department in organizing industry oriented workshops, leadership talks lectures,
competitions, Curriculum Oriented Career Prospects [COPS] workshops including niche areas 2. Internships and Placements:-
● Conduct the Internship and placement – both National and International.● Conduct in-house-Employability Test (ET) ● Publish information in portal/hard copies and communications
3. Corporate Relations:-● Facilitating meetings between visiting corporate houses and sponsored research and Industrial
Consultancy Cell and Departments Collecting corporate feedback on what they are looking for in students for different type of jobs.
● Arranging interaction sessions between corporate leaders and students (guest lectures/talks/seminars).
Formal invitation with relevant information is sent to the companies from TPC BCE Patna to take part in the campus placement
Company confirm their participation and register on the online portal at TPC BCE Patna
Confirmation from companies through Filling up of internship/Job Notification Forms
TPC conducts common Assessment Test for Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning and Verbal Ability for all the candidates and verify their
Resume
Pre-Placement Talk is conducted by company for student in campus
Final Placement Schedule is finalised by the Training and Placement Team
Access of interested students Resumes and Assessment Test Scores is granted to the companies
Online Shortlisting procedure of the company as per respective norms.
The company is required to come down to the campus where it would interview the shortlisted candidate and finally submit the list of
selected students. For the corporation unable to visit. TPC support remote recruitment processes with video and teleconferencing
infrastructure
