Introduction

At diploma and advanced diploma level, it is expected that you will complete additional research and/or reading to complete your assessment tasks. Sufficient guidance is given in relation to recommended readings or weblinks etc., and these additional resources are also able to be self-recorded as Group 1 CPD credits.

EnrolmentEnrolment is a simple process: Once you have selected the course you wish to enrol in, complete the registration form and return to the College with your enrolment fee, a copy of your resume and a copy of your current position description.

Your assessor will assess your eligibility to commence your preferred course and advise you of the outcome. He/she will then assist you with unit selection and draft a learning plan for your approval. You will also receive your starter kit consisting of a course binder, your first Learner Guide and any other relevant documentation required to commence your course.

AssessmentAs a Registered Training Organisation, the College conducts its operations in accordance with the Australian Quality Training Framework. Student assessment is based on evidence provided by the student either through traditional study or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) options. The College offers RPL to minimise the time and cost to applicants. All students will be offered an opportunity to apply for RPL on enrolment and will be asked to provide sufficient, valid, authentic and current evidence to show their competence.

Assessment may include workbook exercises and activities, essays, participation by a workplace supervisor and validation by the assigned Assessor. On completion of the training and assessment, a student will be awarded the appropriate full diploma qualification or a Statement of Attainment in the case of partially completed courses or individual units. An appeals process is available to students for resolution of any issues arising from these processes.

After achieving an Advanced Diploma in Leadership and Management, candidates may choose to undertake studies at higher education level, including an undergraduate degree, graduate certificate or graduate diploma. Many universities offer credit packages for undergraduate qualifications that have completed this qualification.

Pharmacists and other College members may also apply for elevated membership status (e.g. Fellowship) upon completion of further education. Please refer to the ‘Application for Post-Nominals’ in the member’s section of the College’s website for further information.

Course Costs and RegistrationSingle Unit StudyIt is common for pharmacists to complete single units as part of their CPD Learning Plan. Upon com-pletion of a single unit, a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment will be issued and CPD credits may be applied to your CPD transcript. Statements of Attainment can be credited towards future qualifications.

Where a unit is available across multiple qualifications levels (such as BSBRSK501 Manage Risk), the fee will be charged according to the lowest qualification in which the unit appears.

Qualification level Single Unit Fee ACP Member’s Single Unit Fee

Diploma $445 $300

Advanced Diploma $705 $300

Recognition of Prior LearningFor persons wishing to apply for RPL, please contact the College for an RPL Kit. Once you have perused the RPL kit you are invited to have a discussion with a College assessor where he/she will give you guidance about your eligibility for RPL, which units to submit your RPL application for, evidence collection etc. You then proceed to complete your RPL application.

Recognition services have an application fee of $90 which is payable upon submission of your completed RPL Kit. This covers 2 hours of your assessor’s time. Your College Assessor will advise you of the outcome of your application and then provide options for completing the course. One of the following options may apply:• After reviewing your application, your assessor may advise you that a significant amount of the

RPL you have applied for is able to be granted, and will quote for completion of the recognition service, any further training requirements and issuance of qualification.

• If some RPL is granted, your assessor will proceed with your enrolment and invoice your course fees, deducting the pro-rata value of the units you have been awarded RPL for.

• If little or no RPL is granted, you may enrol in the full qualification and the RPL fee will be credited towards your course fees

Direct CreditDirect credit is different to RPL. Direct credit is where you are automatically given credit for units you have already completed in another course or with another training provider. There is no charge for direct credit, and your course fees will be reduced on a pro-rata basis if you are eligible for direct credit.

Direct credit can only be given for units which are nationally recognised (ie: programs delivered by a TAFE institute or a Registered Training Organisation) and directly map to units in the College’s courses. Course and unit codes change with each upgrade or change to their relevant training packages, so even if the code is different you may still be eligible for credit. If you are unsure, please ask your assessor.

If you wish to apply for direct credit please submit a copy of your Certificate and testamur or your Statement of Attainment to the College with your registration form.

Pharmacists please note: CPD credits are not available on units that are awarded via RPL or direct credit.
