Orange City are also looking to field and ALL girls team in the u13 girls league to be played on a Tuesday afternoon throughout Term 4. We encourage you to get in touch with Dan Brincat, [email protected], and register your interest in playing in this competition. We are more than happy to field as many teams in this ALL girl’s competition as we can. Everyone is extremely busy puƫng the finishing touches to props and costumes, and parƟcularly onstage rehearsals. The students have been amazing and are really starƟng to master their onstage acƟng skills and dancing rouƟnes. Keep up the good work everyone and you will be rewarded by an amazing show, as will the audience. There will be a FULL DRESS REHEARSAL on Monday 2nd September. Therefore, we need to ensure that all students have all of their costume requirements. A reminder has been sent on school stream for children to bring in their costumes (check the note or school stream if you are unsure of what your child needs). If you are having difficulty with costume needs, please contact the office or Mrs Campbell, before the end of the week. Student costumes will be kept at school unƟl aŌer the producƟon. If students are using their black school shoes, they MUST BRING or wear them next Wednesday and Thursday. In addiƟon, a note regarding makeup, hair etc will be sent home before the end of this week. (Any parents who are interested and can assist with makeup producƟon lines at the maƟnee and evening concert, please let Janelle know). If you have not purchased your Ɵckets for this amazing show, please do so now. There are only a few seat leŌ for the evening performance. SNEAK PEAK BEHIND THE SCENES:     Students are ge ng excited a er trying some of their costumes on. 

PSSA W  R  C   Congratula ons to Tom Frankham who has competed in the NSW PSSA Western Region Rugby Union Championship Tournament over 3 big days down at Hawkesbury this week. The Team came up against some tough compe on. However, they remained strong managing to secure wins on some days and thoroughly enjoyed the experience and mateship. Well done Tom! Playing at this representa ve level is a very commendable achievement and we are all very proud.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Y  3/4   5/6 E  U  The Yr 3/4 & 5/6 excursions are closing in fast. All final confirma ons for the 5/6 trip to Canberra have been completed. A note including final i nerary, what to pack and other informa on will be sent home tomorrow with the students. Please ensure to read all details, par cularly the departure me and what they need to pack. We have been very fortunate to qualify for the PACER rebate (Parliament, and Civics Educa on Rebate). To qualify we are required to visit a number of the civics ins tu ons, of which we are. Therefore, this has enabled us a rebate of $20 per student. This rebate had already been taken into equa on when the cos ngs for the excursion were made. If parents have any ques ons regarding the excursion, please contact Janelle.

Informa on regarding medical requirements for the 3/4 excursion were previously sent home. Parents were required to login to the sport and recrea on site and complete their child’s medical details. This must be done before 5th September. Please do this as soon as possible. Full details and i nerary for the Yr 3/4 excursion will be sent home within the next 2 weeks.

 

B  S  D ‐ On Thursday 12th September, we will be hos ng a Bike Safety Day at our school. The day will be run by Senior Constable Mitchell Chris e from Molong Police Sta on. Students are to bring their bikes to school on this day. (They do not have to be ridden to school, parents can drop them off in the morning and collect in the a ernoon). Constable Chris e will be presen ng a safety talk before taking them through riding skills on an obstacle course, most likely in their class groups. Children will then have the opportunity to ask ques ons, and also have a look through the Police car. This day will coincide with the RMS annual Bike Week.

ICAS ‐ Students will begin si ng their ICAS Compe on papers next week. Technology will be held on Tuesday 3rd September and Science on Thursday 5th September. During week 8 Wri ng and Spelling, and finally week 9 Maths and English. A big thank you to our P&C who fund and provide the opportunity for all students from Yrs 2 ‐ 6 to par cipate in Maths and English papers. Good luck to all students par cipa ng.  

 

C  S  ‐  The Cudal Show will be held on Sunday 15th September. The school will have a display in the pavilion, showcasing students bookwork and artwork. In addi on, we strongly encourage students to consider entering into one of the many sec ons of the pavilion entries. e.g. lego, art, photography, cooking, needlework. A program/schedule was sent home with students last week to give an indica on of what sec ons are available to enter.
