of Collie. Founded in 1897, Collie is known for its
historical architecture, natural beauty and

beautiful town.
2019 Australian Historic Road Racing
Championship
The Historic Competition Motorcycle Club of WA (inc) are conducting the 2019 Australian
Historic Road Racing Championship on the Queen’s Birthday (WA) long weekend at the Collie
Motorplex. The event will start on Friday 27th September with an optional practice day and
conclude on Monday 30th September 2019.
The event is being run in conjunction with Motorcycling Australia and will cater for all classes of
Historic motorcycles and sidecars as defined by the 2019 Manual of Motorcycle Sport.
The Championship will commence on Saturday 28th September with practice and qualifying
with championship races being held on Sunday 29th and Monday 30th.
In addition, the event will include an optional practice on Friday 27th for competitors to
familarise themselves with the brand-new track. An additional cost will apply.
The track is the newly built Collie Motorplex long track of approximately 2.55Km in length.
The club has contacts who can assist with transport of containers to Collie. A subsidy is
available to assist competitors with the movement of containers on the basis of $1000 for each
State or Territory. Those competitors needing help or further information can contact the club
by visiting the website:
www.historicracing.asn.au
The Collie Motorplex located just outside of the Collie Township has just upgraded its race
circuit to a long circuit of 2.55km. The HCMC have done an excellent job of promoting Historic
Road Racing and the Australian Championships in the past. 2019 will be no exception.
The Shire of Collie is fully committed to making this event a success for all visitors to Collie
and we will be developing attractions and motorcycle related events for the benefit and interest
of all motorcyclists.
Our Club President Bob Humphreys and his management team have been joined by the Collie
Chamber of Commerce in ensuring a great event for all visitors’ riders and spectators alike.
We look forward to seeing you at Collie and information on Collie and available
accommodation options follow in this document.
