24 APRIL—27 JUNE 2020TRADIGITAL:BRENTYN LUGNAN ROBERT HUNTER COLLECTIONOPENING NIGHT FRIDAY 24 APRIL 6–8PM
A solo exhibition by leading Gumbaynggirr artist Brentyn Lugnan. Strikingly contemporary, Lugnan’s work remains deeply grounded in Gumbaynggirr culture, traditional symbolism and spirituality while still looking firmly to the future.
Local art collector Robert Hunter donated his collection of Aboriginal art to Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery in 2018. Featuring the work of 27 artists from Central Australia, the Kimberley and Arnhem Land, these paintings explore the rich concepts that bind Aboriginal artists, communities and land together.
14 FEBRUARY—18 APRIL 2020AN ARTIST’S GARDEN:
TERRI BUTTERWORTH AND GUY GILMOUR
OPENING NIGHT FRIDAY 14 FEBRUARY 6–8PM
An Artist’s Garden presents work by two of the Coffs Coast’s most established and respected
painters: one abstract, one figurative. Founded in a strong sense of place, these artists view the Orara
Valley’s bush and pastoral landscapes as their own artist’s garden, through two distinct lenses.
