INTRODUCTIONWANetballLeague(GoldIndustryGroupWestAustralianNetballLeague)clubswillbegiventheopportunityduringthe2019-2021GoldIndustryGroupWestAustralianNetballLeagueseasonstohosthomegames.GoldIndustryGroupWestAustralianNetballLeaguehomegameswillbeconductedinaccordancewiththeGoldIndustryGroupWestAustralianNetballLeagueCompetitionRegulations.NETBALLWARESPONSIBILITIESNetballWA(NWA)isresponsiblefortheoveralleventmanagementofGoldIndustryGroupWestAustralianNetballLeaguetoensuretherulesandintegrityofthecompetitionaremaintainedatalltimes.NWAwillberesponsibleforthefollowingforeachGoldIndustryGroupWestAustralianNetballLeaguehomegame:

• DeterminationofallrulesandregulationspertainingtotheGoldIndustryGroupWestAustralianNetballLeague.

• SponsorshipsignageincludingbannersandA-framesforthefieldofplay.• Supplyofeventrunsheettemplate.• Eventequipmentincluding:

o Competitionmatchballso Umpirealertso Competitionforms/scoresheetso Goalpostpadding

NWAwillberesponsiblefortheappointmentofthefollowingpersonnelfortheGoldIndustryGroupWestAustralianNetballLeaguehomegame:

• NWArepresentative,inclusiveofaMatchDelegate• Umpirecoaches• Umpiresforallmatches• BenchOfficialsforallmatches

TheNWArepresentativeactingasthecourtsupervisorwillattendthehomegameandwill;

• Supplytheofficialmatchballs• Supplythesignageandassistwithsetuparoundthecourt• Supplytheumpirealertsystem• Ensureallteamsignageisadequatelypositioned• Ensuretheteamlistsarefilledoutbyallteamsatleast30minutespriortothestart

ofthegame• Ensureteamsandumpiresarereadytotakethecourtontime• CollecttheJillMcIntoshMedal(OpenWomen),20UWomenBest&Fairestand

Men’sBest&Fairestvotes,completedscoresheets,matchballs,umpirealertsystemandsignageandreturntoNWA.

WANETBALLLEAGUECLUBRESPONSIBILITIESNWAwillconsultwiththeGoldIndustryGroupWestAustralianNetballLeagueclubinrelationtotheorganisationoftheGoldIndustryGroupWestAustralianNetballLeaguehomegameandwillconsideringoodfaithallsuggestionsorcommentsforwardedtoNWAbythehostclub.Thehostclubwillco-operatewithNWAthroughoutthepreparation,conductandstagingoftheGoldIndustryGroupWestAustralianNetballLeaguehomegametoensurethesuccessoftheevent.Eachhomeclubwillberesponsibleforthefollowing:

• Providingacashierandfloatforthedoor• CompleteGoldIndustryGroupWestAustralianNetballLeaguehomegame

attendancesheetprovidedbyNWA• Hiringofcourtsandchangeroomsforhomegames• AppointmentofaMatchCoordinator• Ensurecourtsetupasperrequirements(includesteambenches,scorebench,

signage,ice/water,wheelchair&spinalboard)• Providefoodandwaterforumpiresandbenchofficials.• Supplyiceforinjuriesandwaterforteams.• RunsheettemplateprovidedandcompletedandreturnedtoNWA.

ItistheresponsibilityofthehomeclubtoappointaMatchCoordinatorwhowillberesponsibleformatchpresentation,volunteerandanyliaisonrequirementswiththevisitingteam.ItistheresponsibilityoftheMatchCoordinatorto:

• ProvideinformationtotheNWACompetitionsCoordinatorpertainingtoanygamedayformalitiesorhospitalitytheGoldIndustryGroupWestAustralianNetballLeagueclubwishtoconductduringtheirhomegame.Tobecompletednolaterthan7workingdayspriortotheevent.

• ToliaisewiththeNWArepresentative(MatchDelegate)acrossthedurationoftheclub’shomegame

• Provideclubmatchdaystaff/volunteersnames,contactnumbersandrolestotheNWACompetitionsCoordinatorforadditiontotheofficialeventrunsheet.Tobecompleted7daysbeforetheevent.

• ProvideclubrelatedMCsponsormessagestotheNWACompetitionsCoordinatorforadditiontotheofficialMasterofCeremonies(MC)script.TobereceivedatNWAnolaterthan7workingdayspriortheevent.

• EnsureMCannouncesteamsontocourtandteamsarereadytoplayatcorrecttime.• Ensureallclubmatchdaystaff/volunteersperformtheirrolecorrectlyatalltimes.

APPOINTMENTOFAMASTEROFCEREMONIESTheMCistoannounceplayers,teamofficialsandumpiresontothecourtpriortothecommencementofthegame.TheMCistoacknowledgethefollowingatappropriatetimesthroughoutthehomegame(asdetailedontheeventrunsheet):

• AcknowledgementtoCountryorWelcometoCountry(ifbeingundertakenbyanappropriateAboriginal&TorresStraitIslanderElder)

• Namingrightssponsor.• TheInsuranceCommissionofWA(BeltUp).• AnyotherkeymessagesasrequiredbyNWA.

Clubsponsoracknowledgements–usethefullsponsorshipnameofhomeandvisitingteamsduringallintroductions,promotionsorannouncements.ClubsponsormessagesaretobesenttotheNWACompetitionsCoordinator,nolaterthan7workingdayspriortotheevent.PROMOTIONNWAencouragesclubstopromotetheirhomegamesusingvariousmediums.AllpromotionsofhomegamesaretobeapprovedbyNWAbeforebeingpublished.PRODUCTIONOFMATCHDAYPROGRAMShouldclubswishtoproduceamatchdayprogram,itistheclub’sresponsibilityto:

CASHIERItistheclub’sresponsibilitytoprovideacashierfordoorentrytohomegames.TheNWArepresentativewillprovideanattendancesheettobefilledoutbythecashierandreturnedtotheNWArepresentativeatthecompletionofthehomegame.Thecashieristoremainopenuntilhalftimeofthefinalmatchoftheday.ThehomeclubshallkeepallmoneyfromdoorentryandsaleofGoldIndustryGroupWestAustralianNetballLeagueSeasonPasses.

TICKETPRICESGoldIndustryGroupWestAustralianNetballLeagueclubsmaysettheirownticketpricesforhomematches.GoldIndustryGroupWestAustralianNetballLeagueclubsmustgainapprovalfromNWAofthepricestheyintendtosetpriortoadvertisingtheirhomegames.NetballWA2019GoldIndustryGroupWestAustralianNetballLeagueticketingpricesareasfollows:

MATCHDAYFUNCTIONItisthehomeclub’sresponsibilityfororganisinganyhomegamefunction.Thehomeclubisresponsibleforthehiringandpaymentofanyrooms,catering,staffrequiredforsuchafunction.KIOSKItisthehomeclub’sresponsibilitytoapproachthevenueregardingtheopportunitytorunthekioskfacilities.SALEOFALCOHOLItisuptothehomeclubtodecideiftheywishtosellalcoholathomegames.Itisthehomeclub’sresponsibilityto:

• Consultwiththehomegamevenueregardingthesaleofalcohol.• Abidebyallhealth&safetyrequirements(includingstaffwithResponsibleServiceof

Alcoholqualifications).SPORTPRESENTATIONThesportpresentationprogramshouldaimtocreateanenvironmentforNetballwhichenhancestheeventforspectators,officialsandathletesbyshowcasingitatitsoptimumlevel.Whileensuringthatanenvironmentsuitableforoptimalperformancebyathletesiscreated,theelementsofthesportpresentationprogrammustalsoadheretotherules,regulationsrequirementsandprotocolsofthesport.TheMatchCoordinatororsomeoneappointedtobetheSportPresentationCoordinatorshallberesponsibleforcueingalloftheliveaspectsthatsurroundthesportonthefieldofplay,includingannouncements,musicandteamintroduction.

Nomusic,soundeffectsorvoicecommentarymaybeusedduringplay.Musicmayonlybeplayedduringbreaksandinjurybreaks.Ifthehomegameclubwishtousematchintervalsforanypresentations,promotionsorexhibitionsmatches,approvalmustbesoughtfromNWA,whowilladdthedetailstotheofficialeventrunsheet,obereceived7dayspriortotheevent.SETUPCourtsaretobesetupasfollows:

• 17chairsforeachteambench• 3chairsforumpirestotherightofthescorebench• 5chairsforscorebench

• Aframesignageinfrontofteambenchesandscorebenchesassetoutinthe

diagramonthenextpage.Adjustmentsonthissignageplanmaydependonthevenue.

• 1trestletableattheendofeachteambench.• 1watercontainerand1eskyfulloficeoneachtrestletablewithfreezerbags.• Wheelchair,spinalboardandneckbracetobecourtsidewhenpossible.Ifthese

itemsarenotaccessiblecourtside,thentheyaretobeaccessiblefromthevenue’sfirstaidroomwhenrequired
