Christian Basics Lessons 5-8 Never a Dull Moment Students will see the importance of accountability and be challenged to make a choice to intentionally get involved in an accountability relationship. Are You Ready? Students will be equipped and motivated to show and share their faith with others. Pay it Forward Students will learn what generosity is and how they can implement a generous lifestyle. Now is the Time to Worship; Now! Students will learn that worship is a lifestyle and will be challenged to actively worship God. Core Essentials Lessons 1-4 Buzzer Beater Students will understand that they are only given an unknown amount of time to live and will see their need to trust in Jesus Christ as Savior before their life is over. Batter Up – Hitting a Homerun with Your Quiet Time Students will learn how to do an effective quiet time which will assist in their personal spiritual growth. What’s Your Plan? Students will gain an understanding of basic spiritual disciplines and some ideas on how to begin their own plan for spiritual growth using Word of Life’s Creative Discipleship program. The Playbook Students will understand the importance of memorizing Scripture and put what they are memorizing into practice. Doctrinal Truth – God the Father Lessons 9-12 My Design Reflects My Designer Students will recognize that God’s role as self-existent Creator makes Him the only One Who has the answers to our purpose and the meaning of life and will be challenged to worship and obey Him. Love, the Trinity, and Me Students will understand that the Trinity demonstrates God’s loving nature and will be challenged to demonstrate God’s love in their lives. Wholly Holy Students will learn that God is holy and will be encouraged to strive to be set apart to Him. Our All-Sufficient God Students will learn how God knows everything, He is always there, and can bring them through whatever problems they face and will be challenged to depend completely upon Him. STUDENT BIBLE STUDY The Student Ministries curriculum provides engaging lessons that will equip students to obey the truth of God’s Word out of love for Christ. Each lesson clearly connects the truth of God’s Word to the life of the student and presents a choice for life transformation. 2019-2020 Doctrinal Truth – Man and Sin Lessons 13-16 Man Alive Students will learn that their brokenness is reflective of sin and choose to follow God’s plan for fixing that brokenness through a relationship with Jesus. Light for a Dark World Students will understand that the world they were born into is dark and will be challenged to find help in the light of the Lord. Snakes in Your House Students will learn how this broken world corrupts our hearts and minds and will be challenged to find strength through Jesus for their battle with sin. From ≠ To Students will learn about true freedom and will be challenged to choose to no longer be a slave to sin. CORE ESSENTIALS: Lessons designed to help students understand basic truth for living out their faith in Jesus Christ. CHRISTIAN BASICS: Basic biblical disciplines that lead to spiritual growth. THEOLOGY : Major doctrines of the Christian faith to give students a solid biblical foundation. BIBLE BOOK STUDIES: One Old Testament and one New Testament book each year. APOLOGETICS: Lessons that present a rational basis for the Christian faith. TOPICAL: Current and culturally relevant topics that students are facing. VIDEO SERIES: We provide a video series each year to help add variety to the teaching schedule. Students will learn the differences and similarities between the local church and the universal Church and will be encouraged to be involved in the church. Doctrinal Truth – Jesus Lessons 21-24

Knowing Jesus as God Students will understand the deity of Christ as found in Scripture and see the need to give Him the reverence He deserves.

Knowing Jesus as Messiah Students will see Jesus as the only one in history uniquely qualified to claim the title as God’s promised Messiah and will be challenged to trust Him alone for salvation and sanctification.

Knowing Jesus as Creator Students will understand that Jesus, as the Creator God, sustains all things and be challenged to worship Him.

Knowing Jesus as Friend Students will understand the incarnation of Christ and be challenged to seek growth in their friendship with Him.

Christian Basics: Evangelism Emphasis(Dare 2 Share)Lessons 50-53 Full Circle Prayer, Care, Share Students will understand that Jesus is calling them to share His Gospel message with others.

Full Circle Prayer Students will understand that prayer lays the foundation for your outreach efforts and be challenged to talk to God about people before they talk to people about God.

Full Circle Care Students will learn to care deeply for those in need and take steps to help the physical, emotional, and relational needs of others.

Full Circle Share Students will be encouraged to build on the foundation of prayer and care and effectively share the Gospel message with others.

Apologetics Lessons 33-36

Looking for Foundations Students will learn that the Christian worldview provides the foundations for discovering truth and will be challenged to exercise biblical faith.

A Bigger Little World Students will understand how to have an intelligent conversation about evolution and will be challenged to trust God’s design.

Turn the Binoculars Around Students will understand that Darwinian evolution fails to account for the fossil record and will be challenged to test the evidence.

The Consequences of Belief Students will realize that our beliefs have consequences in the real world and will be challenged to treat all people as image bearers of God.

Topical Lessons 37-40

Clear the Schedule Students will see how Jesus spent time in prayer even though He had a busy schedule and will be challenged to do the same.

God’s Workout Plan Students will see how Jesus obeyed the Father’s will and will be challenged to pursue God’s will as revealed in Scripture.

Never Lift Alone! Students will recognize their God-given authorities and be challenged to submit to them.

You Are What You Eat Students will see Jesus’ example of resisting temptation and will be challenged to rely on the Word of God to defeat temptation.

Topical Lessons 41-44

Solving Stress Students will recognize areas of stress in their lives and commit to drawing closer to God to find relief.

Who Am I? Students will be challenged to find their identity in Jesus Christ and not in themselves, their accomplishments, or their abilities.

On What Scale? Students will learn that their value lies in the fact that they are created in the image of God and be challenged to view themselves as God views them.

Technically Speaking Students will recognize the dangers of being addicted to technology and will be challenged to make a choice to use technology to further the kingdom of Jesus Christ.

In this five-video series recorded at summer camp on Word of Life Island, Pastor Jay Sanders, the College Ministry Pastor at Idlewild Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida, teaches through the Books of Jonah and Jude. Students will understand that they can run from God, but they can’t outrun God and will be challenged to contend for the faith.

Bible Book Study – Genesis (The Life of Joseph) Lessons 25-28

Patient Faith Students will learn God is in control and choose to wait on His timing.

Fleeing Faith Students will realize that God is always with them and choose to run from sinful temptations.

Unwavering Faith Students will learn the key to beating discouragement and be empowered to bless others even while going through their own trials.

Triumphant Faith Students will know God has a good plan for them and seek to live faithfully for Him each day.

Bible Book Study – Ephesians Lessons 29-32

You Can Bank on It! Students will understand that believers are rich in Christ and be confident in their salvation.

The Great Portrait of Salvation Students will gaze upon the great portrait of salvation and be reminded to put it on display by walking in good works.

The Great Reconciler Students will understand that Jesus Christ is the great Reconciler and be challenged to live in harmony with God and others.

The Mystery Revealed Students will learn that the church is no longer a mystery but a place of unity and will be challenged to keep the fellowship of this unity.

Jonah Runs from God Students will learn that they can run from God, but they can’t outrun God.

Jonah Runs to God Students will learn that God is extravagant with His grace and thorough with His discipline.

Jonah Runs for God Students will learn about the never-ending grace of God and will be challenged to make disciples.

Jonah Runs into God Students will learn that anger and bitterness will choke the life out of them and will be challenged to love God and love people.

A Quick Charge Students will be challenged to keep fighting, stay focused, and stay faithful.
