Saturday, October 267:30pmInnovative Brilliance

The Manassas Symphony opens its season featuring the brilliant David Pedraza,

Principal Viola of the Symphony of the Americas in Ft. Lauderdale, playing William Walton’s Concerto for Viola. The concert concludes with the marvelous Symphony No. 1 in E minor by American composer Florence Price. The piece was the first symphony by a black woman performed by a major American orchestra.

Saturday, March 7 7:30pmAmerican Idols

The MSO takes the stage with music from three of America’s greatest

composers: Aaron Copland, Leonard Bernstein, and Howard Hanson. Copland’s Quiet City evokes scenes of New York in the early 20th century, while Bernstein’s Symphonic Dances from “West Side Story” captures the rhythmic fervor of the early 1960s in NYC. Capping the concert is Hanson’s Symphony No. 2 (“Romantic”), the quintessential American Symphony.

Saturday, December 7 3:30pmStory Time

The MSO’s legendary family concert features 3 timeless stories -- Jack and the

Beanstalk, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, and Peter and the Wolf -- narrated by special guests. Add in Westfield High School senior violin phenom George Pekarsky, concertmaster of the American Youth Philharmonic, playing Sarasate’s astonishing Carmen Fantasy, and this event is sure to delight everyone, young and old. Plus, our exclusive Indoor Light and Music Show Spectacular!

Saturday, May 9 7:30pmFrom the Old World and New

Manassas Symphony commemorates Beethoven’s 250th birthday with

the return of pianist Joseph Kingma playing Beethoven’s dramatic Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor. Local high school string players pack the stage with us for a season finale of Antonín Dvořák’s glorious Symphony No. 9 (“From the New World”).
