PRASIDH ARORA Graduation year: 2019Major: Computer Engineering

Home country: India

Late last year, Prasidh landed his dream job with technology giant Microsoft. He will start in a full-time program management role at its Redmond, Washington, based headquarters when he graduates in December. While a student, he served on Miami’s Engineers Without Borders leadership team for water system projects in Rwanda and Uganda, applying his problem-solving skills.

LIAN DONGYING Graduation year: 2019Majors: Accountancy, Business Analytics

Home country: China

Miami gave Lian the opportunity to develop leadership skills in student organization and class projects. She was a tax consultant intern at the Deloitte Cincinnati office, learning time management skills and how to communicate with her team and leaders. She accepted a full-time job there. Career Fair and other networking events at Miami opened the door for her to meet new people, alumni, and employers.

CHI LE Graduation year: 2017Major: Marketing

Home country: Vietnam

Through Miami’s connections in the business world, Chi had marketing and analytics internships, from traditional marketing departments and an advertising agency to tech startups. Through a Miami-based internship in San Francisco, she made connections for a full-time job as an ads operations analyst at Bamboo, where she combines analytics and creativity.All honors opportunities require a supplemental application. Test requirementsStandardized tests are required for students whose first language is not English. Please provide one of the following:

• TOEFL iBT: 80 or above* (Institutional code is 1463)

• IELTS: 6.5 or above*

• ACT: English 21 or above** (Institutional code is 3294)

• SAT: Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 550 or above** *We will accept MyBest scores for the TOEFL. Students with lower English proficiency test scores (TOEFL iBT 60-79, IELTS 5.0-6.0, ACT English 18-20, or SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 500-540) may be considered for conditional admission through the American Culture and English (ACE) Program. Go to MiamiOH.edu/ACE to learn more. No separate application is required.

**ACT/SAT scores are encouraged but not required. Students who submit ACT/SAT scores may be considered for additional scholarship awards and may also be exempt from submitting TOEFL/IELTS scores.

Test scores No preference is given for ACT or SAT; Miami superscores, using the highest test scores submitted for admission and scholarship consideration. For ACT, the highest scores for each subtest from different exams will determine a combined highest composite score. For SAT, the best Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (ERW) and Math (M) subscores will be used to calculate a maximum single score.

All new first-year undergraduate international students who submit completed applications and meet the requirements for full admission for Fall 2020 are automatically considered for the International Education Scholarship and University Merit Scholarship. Miami University scholarships are highly competitive and, thus, not guaranteed. The academic qualifications determining scholarship awards are dependent on the strength of the applicant pool. No separate application is required.

• Priority consideration will be given to first-year students completing all admission requirements by December 1, 2019.

• International transfer students will be considered for transfer scholarship opportunities at the time of admission.

• Scholarships are based on availability and are subject to change.
