My Fellow Supporters of the Arts,

I am excited to share Bergen Performing Art Center’s 2019-20 lineup with you today. Boasting a variety of headliners, up-and-comers and everything in between across the genres, we expect everyone will find something they love.

Our lineup is as diverse as our region, and bergenPAC’s nonprofit mission is to make the live performing arts and arts education accessible to everyone in our community.

A major way that we deliver on that mission is with our Arts Access program. Considered one of the best of its kind in the country, we partner with 83 local organizations serving segments of the community who would not otherwise be able to attend shows and give away up to 200 free tickets to every performance. Last year, we distributed 12,000 tickets to community groups helping seniors, children and other residents facing challenging times. I am truly thankful to our supporters for making this possible.

Arts education is another key to our mission. The Performing Arts School at bergenPAC provides 1,300 on-site students ages 3 to adult with introductory through pre-professional level classes in music, dance and theatre, along with opportunities to perform on the Taub Stage at bergenPAC. To make our programs accessible to everyone, we have scholarship opportunities so that no child is ever turned away because of financial hardship.

We extend our mission further with Beyond bergenPAC, our educational outreach initiative, and bring teaching artist residencies, assemblies and co-theater productions to 142 schools in 96 school districts throughout eight counties. The initiative reaches nearly 16,000 students.

None of this would be possible without our dedicated Board of Trustees, staff, sponsors, individual donors and, of course, the nearly 1,300,000 patrons who have embraced the spirit of bergenPAC as their own. Your support in keeping bergenPAC as Northern New Jersey’s leading nonprofit performing arts and education institution is so important and appreciated.

We will have exciting news to share about bergenPAC’s future later this year, but for now, check out the shows coming up. I hope to see you at the theater soon.

Sincerely,

Dominic RoncacePresident & CEO

THANK YOU TO OUR 2019-2020 SEASON SPONSORS!

THE KAPLEN FOUNDATION AND PSE&G ARE PROUD TO SUPPORT THE ARTS ACCESS INITIATIVE AT BERGENPAC!

As a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization, the Bergen Performing Arts Center relies on your generosity to help bridge the gap between ticket sales and operating costs. Annual memberships and donations allow bergenPAC to keep the arts alive in our community through a wide

range of performances and programs that enhance the quality of life, promote arts education and support the local economy.

For more information about becoming a supporter of bergenPAC, contact our Development Team at 201.816.8160 x48.

Our nonprofit mission is to make our theater available to everyone in our diverse community. Arts Access provides free tickets to organizations serving local seniors and other individuals who would otherwise be unable to experience the live performing arts.

Last year, we distributed 12,000 tickets to more than 80 organizations! With your support we could expand this program to improve the quality of life for even more residents. For more information

about supporting our Arts Access Initiative, contact 201.816.8160 x18 or [email protected].

“This program is just amazing. This generation of seniors is use to giving

to others. But this program allows them to enjoy things that are given to them. They get out to socialize with

friends and, in some cases, go out to dinner. If I have been told once, I have been told 50 times, this program has made me less lonely. Even if they only get one ticket, they meet others at the

events, and it’s a NIGHT OUT.”- Cresskill Senior Center

“This program is phenomenal! Our clients are sharing with their peers the experiences they

are having going to the different shows. Attending the shows is something that they

would not be able to afford without the generosity of this program.”

- Vantage Health System, Dumont

“I’d like to share that one of the clients became very emotional about the

opportunity you have given him. When I announced that he had been one of the

clients chosen, he teared up and began to cry. He disclosed that he comes from a severely impoverished home in Central

America, had always dreamt of attending a show, but never thought he’d see his dream come to fruition. His pure sense of gratitude was truly humbling. Once again, thank you

for continuing to provide these amazing opportunities to our clients.”

- CURA

“Your program opens up the door to our people to experience the arts and

enjoy truly great community events.”
