About Our CollegeCNA is Newfoundland and Labrador’s public college – one of the largest post-secondary educational and skills training centres in Atlantic Canada, with a history dating back more than 55 years. Today, CNA has 17 campus locations throughout Newfoundland and Labrador, and enrolls 9,000 full and part-time students each year. Our alumni pursue rewarding, lucrative jobs doing what they were trained to do, and are making a difference around the world, wherever they call home! To us, it’s a basic equation of supply and demand – and CNA delivers!

Why CNA?HANDS-ON EXPERIENCEOur programs give you the skills you need to succeed in the workforce. Through apprenticeship programs, field placements, on-the job training or co-op work terms, our students leave CNA with solid hands-on work experience.
TRANSFERABILITYYour CNA diploma can takeyou places. CNA has many agreements with institutions around the world, and here at home. Therefore, you can transfer credits from another post-secondary institution to CNA, or vice versa!
SUCCESSFUL GRADUATESFrom Middle Cove to Moscow, Vancouver to Venice – our alumni are everywhere! So whether you want to stay home near the ocean or trek the globe, an education from CNA is a great starting point for any graduates who want to go places!
SMALL CLASS SIZEWith an average class size far smaller than what you see in a typical university program, you won’t be lost in the crowd. In fact, one-on-one time with instructional staff will help you reach your goals for success.
ACCESSIBILITY With 17 campuses throughout Newfoundland and Labrador, chances are there’s a campus near you. Also, our Distributed Learning service makes many of our program offerings available to any community throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. Talk about convenience!
COSTOur low tuition means more money where it belongs: in your pocket. In fact, many of our students graduate with no student debt. Pretty cool, huh?
FIND A GREAT JOBThe majority of our graduates find employment in their field, with many staying right here in Newfoundland and Labrador. Most find jobs within three months of graduation.
BELONGGraduating from great CNA programs means you’re always part of a big extended family. But don’t worry, we tease less than your actual siblings.

ACCESSIBILITY SERVICES
College of the North Atlantic is committed to providing an inclusive learning environment, which celebrates and encourages diversity. CNA promotes equal access and opportunities to facilitate success in the educational community and in the community at large. Our philosophy is to presume competence and encourage independence and self-actualization; empowering all students to recognize, celebrate and productively use their abilities!
If you are a student with a disability and you will require services and supports from Accessibility Services, start the application process as soon as possible. Early planning can help you avoid any delays in starting your program or in accessing the services and supports you will need. If, for example, you require adaptive equipment, alternate format texts or interpreting services, at least three months’ notice may be needed to ensure availability at the start of your program.
If you choose not to identify a disability until after you have registered, there is no guarantee that you will be accommodated in your current semester. Some accommodations take time and resources to implement and therefore, in certain circumstances, could be delayed. Additionally, if you wish to apply for funding to help offset the costs of disability related supports you will need to connect with funding agencies early.
ACCESSIBILITY SERVICES PROCESS:
Step 1: Choose a programStep 2: ApplyStep 3: Provide documentationStep 4: Complete a pre-entry interview with the Accessibility Services Co-ordinatorStep 5: Disclosure
