Dear eseia Members, Colleagues and Friends,

I am pleased to share with you the Christmas 2018 Edition of

the eseia Newsletter.

The eseia family has grown considerably this past quarter as a

direct result of the EIT KIC Urban Mobility proposal

Wemove2Zero. Eight new member organisations from four

countries joined eseia 2018, which makes eseia a 35 member

strong cross-sector grouping with representation in 14

European countries.

Thanks to the commitment of new members to the eseia

Focus Group on Smart Mobility, eseia is hoping to enhance

the eseia portfolio considerably in the field of smart mobility

systems in the coming years. If you are interested in this

topic, please read in our EU Policy section about the EC Graz

Forum on Urban Mobility that debated the new EU Strategic

Transport Research and Innovation Agenda. We have also included a summary of another Austrian

Presidency event held in Vienna, namely the Strategic Energy Technology Plan Conference hosted

by AIT, which set the stage for Horizon Europe in energy transition.

The latest news that came in before publication of this edition was about the EIT KIC Urban Mobility, which went to the Mobilus Consortium coordinated by Ajuntament de Barcelona, Spain. Sadly, the eseia WeMove2Zero was not retained for funding. For more information, please refer to our section on News from eseia.

As the end of the year is approaching, I would like to thank you for your tremendous work and

continued involvement. I wish you Happy Holidays and a Successful and Prosperous New Year!
