Nomination Steps:

The WAVE Awards are open to any woman working in film,

television, or screen-based media in any Maritime province.

While the awards are intended to recognize the

accomplishments of women, both men and women are encouraged

to submit nominations. We do not limit the number of submissions by

any one person – if you know lots of outstanding women, great!

To submit a nomination, please include:

#1. A nomination pitch write-up (800 words max.). This document

should convincingly detail why your nominee(s) should be recognized

by WIFT-AT. You may want to consider mentioning any volunteer

work, awards, achievements, and accomplishments the person

should be recognized for.

#2. Résumé and/or filmography of the nominee(s).

#3. Contact information for both yourself and the nominee(s).

#4. One letter of recommendation is required, an additional letter of

support is optional, but please submit no more than two letters of

support per nomination.

Deadline: All nominations must be emailed to [email protected] by

Wednesday January 24th, 2018.

“I was very honoured to

receive a 2016 WAVE Award, and

truly humbled to join the

esteemed group of previous WAVE

Award winners. It’s been a

privilege for me to contribute to

the visual storytelling of my

colleagues and collaborators

across this region, and if I have

helped inspire others along the

way to do what they love, there is

nothing that makes me more

proud.”

-Dominique Gusset

“What an absolute pleasure

to be riding the WIFT-AT WAVE

with the dynamic and talented

women in the Atlantic industry.

Thank you so much for the

recognition – it means a lot and it

inspires an even greater

commitment to ensure that the

voice and perspective of women is

integral to the stories we tell. It is

an honour to be a part of this

impressive collective.”

-Annette Clarke
