In this course, we will discuss the basics of database management, break down the sections of the SSMS screen, see examples of how and why to use each section, along with tips and tricks to make it all easier. If you are interested in learning about SQL, whether you use Sage 100, 300, or estimating, this is a great introduction and first step. 3-7 Getting to Know SQL Lab (1 of 2) CPE Credits: 1.5 Knowledge Level: Intermediate Who Should Attend: Attend this session if you would like to know more about Microsoft SQL Prerequisites and/or Advance Preparation: None Learning Objectives/Description: Microsoft SQL is a powerful computer language used for relational database management. In this two-part lab, we will perform activities that will show how using SQL we can query, insert, update and modify data. We will create views and stored procedures in our activities that can be used with other programs for reporting and spreadsheets that will allow you to see your data in ways you never thought possible. Examples will be in both Sage 100 and Sage 300 CRE 3-8 Getting to Know SQL Lab (1 of 2) – See 3-7 3-9 Diving into the Deep End of SQL Lab CPE Credits: 1.5 Knowledge Level: Advanced Who Should Attend: This course is designed for Business Analysts, Report Writers, or anyone tasked with database management who has some knowledge of SQL Prerequisites and/or Advance Preparation: Basic SQL Querying or some knowledge of Microsoft SQL Learning Objectives/Description: In this session, we will dive into the deep end of SQL with more advanced functions, subqueries, and data manipulation. You will learn how to create a new table, populate the table with data, then modify and delete records.
