The hum of machinery and the hammering of nails have been a constant reminder of the changes taking place at Weeks Medical Center this year. After years of planning, construction on the new Lancaster Patient Care Center began with a festive groundbreaking ceremony in September. This new center, which is being built behind our hospital, should be complete by the end of this year.
Seeing the new center get bigger each day has reinforced our commitment to move forward, to constantly innovate, and to improve the quality of services we provide. The center also confirms our commitment to the community. In addition to new services and expanded care, the center will have a $15 million impact on the North Country and significantly enhance our region’s economy for years to come.
Keeping care local is a mission we care deeply about. That’s evident daily through the hard work of our dedicated staff. Their commitment to excellence is outstanding and is reinforced by the numerous new degrees, certifications, and expanded levels of training they received during the year. Not surprising, our primary care team members swept the Best of the North Country Awards for best providers, and numerous letters arrived praising and thanking our staff. One letter ended with “the North Country is blessed to have such a facility and such a staff.” I couldn’t agree more.
We’re building a better, brighter future at Weeks. Thank you for your continued support of your community hospital.

Help Us Grow! Donate Today. The new Lancaster Patient Care Center at Weeks Medical Center is currently under construction. We hope to have the building complete by year end. The new center will provide expanded space to improve our primary care and outpatient specialty services. It also will benefit our entire community.
Construction of the building, however, isn’t cheap, and we need your help to make it happen. Our $4 million campaign is underway. To date, we’ve raised about $1.8 million.
Please make a generous donation of any amount to help us reach our goal. Your support is crucial to our mission of keeping high-quality healthcare close to home.
