*BLACKSTONE YARD WASTE FACILITY opens Wednesday April 11. The hours are Wednesdays (8am - 3pm) and Saturdays (8am - 3:45pm) (EXCLUDING HOLIDAYS) until December 8. Residents must have the appropriate yard waste sticker (TURQUOISE for 2018) issued by Woonsocket Public Works Department (fee of $25.00).

For qualifying homes (1-3 unit properties):

A sticker for these items must be obtained from the DPW office at City Hall (Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4pm).

ORANGE STICKER WHITE GOODS: (appliances, large metal household items, etc.) are picked up on a weekly basis.

GREEN STICKER BULK ITEMS: (couch, recliner, bed frame, rug rolls, etc.) one item per month per unit.

Holiday Schedule

When an observed holiday falls on your regular collection day, collections will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week. For example, Thanksgiving Day falls on Thursday. Residences normally collected on Thursday will be collected on

Friday. Friday’s normal week collections will move to Saturday.
