DAY 1-6 Enjoy a walking and bus tour of Prague and then attend Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro. Journey to the old silver mining town of Kutná Hora where you will walk through the ancient city streets and visit the Bone Church. In Prague, we will attend performances of Andreas Chenier, Rusalka and The Cunning Little Vixen. DAY 7-8 Brno is the Czech Republic’s second largest city and the largest city in the historical Moravian region. Tour the rolling lush green hills of South Moravian Wine Country. In Brno, attend performances of The Kiss and Compte Òry. DAY 9-11 In Salzburg and Linz Explore Berchtesgaden and the breathtaking Bavarian Alps. Visit the beautiful village of Český Krumlov. Take in a performance of A Night in Venice, Cardillac and tour various locations from The Sound of Music. DAY 12-13 Explore Linz on a day tour. Return on Air Canada or continue onwards to Vienna. DAY 14-19 Your journey continues with a guided bus and walking tour of historic Vienna. While in Vienna, attend Kalman’s Cirkus Prinzessin and Strauss’ Capriccio.

Michael Morres has been a Director of Pacific Opera Victoria for the last 11 years, including five as President. He was a recipient of the 2015 Opera Canada National Opera Director Award. In addition to having extensive opera knowledge, he is well versed in the tour business, having led tours to many areas of the world for KNOW THE WORLD.

Timothy Vernon spent many years living and working in Vienna and is the Founding Artistic Director of Pacific Opera Victoria and Conductor Laureate of Orchestra London. He will provide insights into the operas based on his encyclopaedic knowledge of the art. This is Timothy’s 4th tour for KNOW THE WORLD.
