PROMOTION CRITERIA TO SEC 5NA

ELMAB3 Aggregate score of 19 Points or less;

AND

at least a grade 5 for ALL the 5 subjects used in

the computation of ELMAB3




Eligibility for DPP Obtain ELMAB3 aggregate scores of 19 points or less (excluding CCA bonus points)

meet subject-specific entry requirements for each course:




Students who applied for DPP

Those who have accepted DPP, should not enrol for

Sec 5.

Report to school only if application is unsuccessful.




Eligibility for PFP

Obtain an ELMAB3 aggregate not exceeding 12 points

prior to deducting CCA bonus points; and

Meet the following subject-specific requirements of the

courses they are applying for.




Students eligible for PFPUpon release of the GCE O-level results, all PFP-eligible

students will receive form P which allows them to apply

for PFP

If interested you can apply for both PFP and DPP.

If you are offered a PFP place, you may withdraw from

the DPP.




Special Consideration for N(A) Students who sat for GCE O-Level Examination

• Students are allowed to use their school-based O-Level preliminary examination results to compute their eligibility for promotion to Sec 5N(A) or retention in Sec 4N(A).

• Students who sat for the same subject at both the GCE N(A)- and GCE O-Level Examinations are allowed to use the better of the two grades to compute their ELMAB32.




TRAINEESHIP PROGRAMME

Those with financial challenges

Prefer part-time studies with allowance




Progression from Sec 4N(T) to Sec 4N(A)

Student should have obtained:

Grade A for both English Language (EL) and Mathematics (MA);

and

Grade B or better for one other subject.




ELIGIBILITY FOR RETENTION :

ONLY FOR 4NA STUDENTS

Obtain an aggregate score of:

• 21 points or less for ELMAB3; or

• 14 points or less for ELB3; or

• 14 points or less for MAB3

School will have the autonomy to determine the outcome of

the retention request.

(4NT: provided the Nitec application is unsuccessful)




Things to do…

• Fill up a form ‘Request for Retention in Sec 4 Normal Academic

(2020)’ and submit to General Office by 20 Dec 2019

• Attach a copy of your GCE ‘N’ Level result slip to the form.

• Both parent(s) and student need to meet up with School

leaders.

• At the same time, apply for eligible courses through JIE.
