Be Happy! Bullies Hate It!

The Green Lake County Fair is thrilled to team up with Generations Against Bullying (GAB) to offer an entertaining and fun, family-friendly program that addresses the issues of bullying! The vision of this organization is to bring awareness about the prevalence and devastating effects of bullying in our communities, and inspire children AND adults to be UPSTANDERS! Join us Saturday, August 4 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. for GAB’S presentation starring musician, singer, dancer, actress and model, Franki Moscato and National Recognized Speaker & Anti-Bully Advocate, Michael Turner. This program has been made possible through the Francis R. & Ruth E. Oberreich Foundation.

Franki Moscato is an American singer/songwriter and actress. She performs solo concerts with only her mic and keyboard, and leaves her audiences thunderstruck. Her vocals move people of all ages with a creative mix of brilliantly-composed oldies and inspirational selections. People melt to her kindness and professional poise as she belts out legendary numbers from renowned artists. Moscato’s career dates back to grade school when she first polished her artistry and shook her (Omro) school district with heartrending pieces that honored war veterans and their families. At 11 years old she sang the National Anthem for the Green Bay Packers while the community stood proud in support of her State-recognized patriotism. Moscato went on to sing for Governor Walker and was twice invited to open Miss Wisconsin Pageants. In that mix, she won the valley’s biggest charity talent contest—Bright Stars Face Off. She has been cast in a number of films including an educational human trafficking collection that will soon be shared with students in schools across the country. Most recently Moscato starred in a music film that centers on a song she composed and sings about her own experience of being bullied. In July of 2017, the film won Best Music Video at both the London and Hollywood Independent Film Awards. Franki is proud to partner with Generations Against Bullying! Michael Turner is “Redefined” in terms of what he has done to change his life. Michael has the most powerful and captivating stories of the 21st Century. He beat all odds, something science would calculate as nearly impossible. Today Michael is a successful Construction Company owner and a financial guru in day trading and the exchange market investing. Employing over 20 people in his company, his determination and preservation has brought him to writing his new book, “Redefined.” Michael will captivate the audience by sheer inspiration. His powerful experience gives him the edge to motivate and influence his audience from all walks of life. You will leave his presentation feeling inspired and fully motivated with tools to change your life and be a better person forever!

GREEN LAKE COUNTY FAIR ENDOWMENT FUND For Good. For Ever.

At the Green Lake County Fair, it’s all about the kids.

Children and teens throughout Green Lake County gather at the Fair every year for friendly competition in areas like animal showing, gardening, baking, woodworking and photography. Known as the “best little fair around,” the Green Lake County Fair is a fun, family-friendly event for all ages. As one of the community’s most treasured traditions, organizers wanted to

ensure that the Fair would be around for generations to come. So in 2009, the Green Lake County Fair established a charitable endowment with the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation.

“The fair is part of the fabric of our community,” states former UW-Extension Family Living Educator. “We want to continue its legacy well into the future.” In the short-term, the fund will assist the Green Lake County Fair in providing small improvements to enhance the fair experience. But in the long-term, the fund will allow fair organizers to pursue various special projects, perhaps even being able to purchase property for an official fairground.

In it’s 75th year, the fair continues to generate excitement among the community. It’s an event Green Lake County residents anticipate year-round. “It’s fun to show at the fair,” says a youth exhibitor. “It’s my favorite part of the summer.”

The Green Lake County Fair partners with the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation (OACF) to manage the Fair Fund. The OACF is a non-profit charitable organization created by and for the people of Winnebago, Waushara, Green Lake Counties and Ripon. Through charitable giving, the Community Foundation strives to make our communities thrive. For more information, please call 920.426.3993 or visit www.OshkoshAreaCF.org

For an Endowment Fund brochure or to make a tax-deductible donation, please contact the Fair Office in person or at 920.294.4033. You may also donate online using the safe, secure system at www.OshkoshAreaCF.org. When prompted, please designate your contribution to support the Green Lake County Fair Fund.
