SAFETY

LOW SPEED FORWARD AUTOMATIC BRAKING. Available on Premier, camera-based Low Speed Forward Automatic Braking can help mitigate front-end collisions with detected vehicles at speeds below 37 mph. It does this by applying the brakes if the driver has not already done so to reduce the collision’s severity. The system may even help avoid a collision at very low speeds.

FORWARD COLLISION ALERT. This available feature helps identify vehicles ahead and warns the driver of possible front-end collision threats, helping to provide you time to stop and/or change course. If the system determines that a front-end collision with a detected vehicle is imminent, it alerts the driver to a potential crash. It also warns the driver if their Equinox is following a detected vehicle much too closely.

LANE KEEP ASSIST WITH LANE DEPARTURE WARNING. At speeds above 37 mph, this available camera-based system monitors road lines and will gently turn the steering wheel if the vehicle begins changing lanes without the use of a turn signal.

AVAILABLE LANE CHANGE ALERT WITH SIDE BLINDZONE ALERT. Radar sensors in the rear corners of the vehicle help detect fast-approaching vehicles in the adjacent lanes as well as vehicles in the side mirror blind zones. Amber icons in the exterior mirrors indicate a vehicle’s presence.

REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT. Using the same radar sensors as Lane Change Alert, this available feature alerts you to crossing traffic behind your Equinox when backing up. Audible warnings, as well as visual alerts on the rear vision camera screen, are triggered if approaching vehicles are detected from either side.

REAR VISION CAMERA. Standard on all models, the rear vision camera displays a view of the area immediately behind the vehicle on the touch-screen — making it easier to see what’s behind you while backing up.

REAR PARK ASSIST. Ideal when pulling into a parking spot at low speeds, this available system senses stationary objects and warns you if an object is too close. The rear vision camera automatically displays a live image of the area behind the vehicle on the available Chevrolet MyLink screen after you shift into Reverse.

INTELLIBEAM HEADLAMPS. When oncoming headlamps are sensed or when taillamps are detected in front of you, the available IntelliBeam® high beam assist intuitively adjusts between low and high beams.

AVAILABLE ADVANCED SAFETY TECHNOLOGY HELPS YOU COVER ALL THE ANGLES.

DRIVER CONFIDENCE AND CONVENIENCE PACKAGE. This combination of confidence and convenience features is designed to make every drive more enjoyable. It includes Rear Park Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert. It also includes outside heated power-adjustable mirrors with turn

signal indicators, remote start, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and Universal Home Remote. The Driver Confidence and Convenience Package is available on LT and standard on Premier. It includes a power liftgate on 1.5L and 2.0L models and a hands-free power liftgate on all Premier models.

DRIVER CONFIDENCE AND CONVENIENCE II PACKAGE. 1. SURROUND VISION. This new available feature helps make parallel parking and maneuvering at low speeds into tight garage spaces easier. Surround Vision gives you a virtual bird’s-eye view of your Equinox on the available 8-inch diagonal color touch-screen. The system is made up of four cameras — the standard rear vision camera, a forward-looking camera in the front grille and one under each side mirror of the vehicle. All camera viewpoints simultaneously merge to transmit a clear side-by-side digital image to the display screen, helping you to see the areas behind and around you. You’ll get the full view with one look.

2. SAFETY ALERT SEAT. This available seat uses directional vibration pulses from the seat cushion instead of audible crash avoidance alerts to help indicate the direction of potential collision threats. This patented warning approach is tied into other available onboard crash avoidance systems.

3. CORE STRENGTH. The all-new body structure is both lightweight and robust. The use of high-strength steel and optimized joint architecture for increased torsional strength contributes to the quiet, confident driving experience.

This new turbocharged 4-cylinder engine uses the technologies of Continuously Variable Valve Timing and Direct Injection to deliver responsive performance with unexpected efficiency.
