Our London School is in the heart of the city within easy reach of

all major airports and St. Pancras International for our European

neighbours. This famous capital offers students the unique

Our lively Dublin school couldn’t be better placed in the centre of

Ireland’s most iconic city. At just 40 minutes’ travel time from the airport our students quickly feel at home in

Multi-centre stays Students at English Studio have been calling London or Dublin their home for many years. We know from experience that often the hardest part of booking with us is deciding in which school to take your course. This year, to make the process a little easier we’ve decided you shouldn’t have to choose one or the other, you can come and study in both schools through our Multi-centre stay programme!

Multi-centre stays offer students the unique opportunity to develop their English language skills in 2 cities. We are able to take care of everything to ensure the transition between centres is as smooth as possible.

Our student services team will organise flights and local transfers between centres whilst also being on hand to book accommodation upon request. Furthermore they will ensure a quick integration into the arrival school and provide information on the local area, social activities and events.

Our academic team will share progress reports to inform receiving teachers of current level and development path. Any level tests or exam results will also be provided to ensure transferring students have a seamless experience.

The only requirement is that a minimum of 2 weeks is spent in each school. Multi-centre stays can be booked prior to arrival or once in school, depending on visa regulations.

Interview Techniques Master class

The intention of this club is to improve verbal language skills and turn them into speaking tools to impress any recruiter looking for talent.

We focus on all techniques; from traditional to situational interviews working on both fluency and accurate language production to enhance success. A core club focus will be developing the ability to explain existing skills, qualities and experience in a high-pressure environment.

Pronunciation Workshop

Introducing great ways to grow confidence speaking English, soften the accent, speak more clearly and be easily understood.

This club will help develop listening skills and fine tune a more effective communicator.

We will cover the individual sounds of English and the other features of pronunciation, such as intonation and sentence stress.

CV Clinic

Designed to provide writing tools to be confident in producing and editing a CV.

We look at which style of CV best fits each student’s professional profile. How to decode jobs adverts and match the student’s CV to the employer’s requirements.

The successful use of language that will persuade and convince employers they are looking at the right candidate for the job.

Student welfare

Our schools have nominated welfare and safeguarding team members on hand to support every student.

We want to ensure our students feel at home and comfortable while in London or Dublin as quickly as possible; that way they can make the most of their experience with us right from day one. The English Studio team can help with practical information such as finding a doctor, or dentist in the event of illness or giving advice on local banking or travel.

Learning and disability support is on-hand as well as multilingual pastoral care via our unique English Studio Connect programme for which further details can be found online. Student wellbeing is vital to each and every member of our team because when you choose English Studio you become part of our community.

Year after year our students tell us some of the most memorable moments are immersion into our culture. Long may this continue, which is why we’re launching English Studio LIVE!

Running throughout 2018 we are asking our teachers to nominate students on a monthly basis who they feel are the hardest working, most improved or have achieved outstanding results in the classroom.

To recognise those achievements each student will be put into a draw to win 2 tickets to a LIVE event in London or Dublin. A Premiership football game, music event at Wembley Stadium, or maybe a blockbuster musical, it’s all to play for study for with English Studio LIVE.

Student residence — DublinWe are very excited to announce our new student residence exclusive to English Studio students! Located in a fantastic area of Dublin, just moments away from St Stephens Green, and a mere 20 minute walk from the school.

Living in such a central location allows most attractions, amenities, and facilities to be accessed by foot. Offering social living arrangements, students quickly become part of the school community, meeting new friends right from the word go.

Student residence benefits from WiFi connection, laundry facilities, fully equipped kitchen, and bed linen all included. Students are typically accommodated in rooms of 4, and all bills are included. All student residence rooms are on a self-catering basis, with ample kitchen storage space for weekly groceries.

Common areas of the residence provide a great relaxing environment for students to unwind after a day at school, talk with newfound friends and share experiences of time in Dublin. Suitable table space for self-study is also available, making this an all-round great option for central Dublin living.

Raleigh House, student residence — LondonWe understand that student needs vary when making accommodation choices in a new city. For students who like a little more independence, our exclusive residence proves a popular choice.

Raleigh House is the perfect choice for students looking for more freedom. To have fun living with other English Studio students; great nights in the communal kitchen — cooking cuisine from all over the world, talking about some of the fantastic experiences in London, Raleigh House offers a great community atmosphere from the moment you arrive.

It’s all about location and students are never disappointed with this great spot in Kentish Town, zone 2. Travel to school in around 20 minutes, spend weekends a short walk up the road in Camden Town or grab something to eat from a local deli to take up to

Hampstead Heath for a picnic in the summer.

In a British home all the best conversations happen in the kitchen and Raleigh House is no exception. Here our large communal kitchen acts as a great facility with private dry and refrigerated storage options for student groceries. Leading from the kitchen are 15 twin and single rooms with private or shared bathroom options available. The fact that WiFi and bed linen are included with no extra bills makes this the smart option for the more discerning student.

Homestays DublinThe home is where the heart is, and we like to think our homestay hosts in Dublin offer a home away from home experience for our students.

We know because we recruit and select them ourselves! Our Accommodation Manager carefully hand picks suitable host families, offering support and guidance to help them care for each and every student.

Homestay is a great choice for those who want to improve their English language quickly. Students enjoy breakfast with their host(s) at the start of the day, and a home cooked meal will be waiting upon return from school all of which contributes to a highly communicative environment. English Studio host families are also our extended team of local experts; our students often comment on great recommendations they’ve received from hosts, and how they have contributed positively to a great overall experience.

Houseshare DublinFor anyone wishing to share accommodation with other students, look no further than our house share! A great standard of accommodation for short or long-stay students looking for comfort, independence, and a social style of living.

House shares are located within easy reach of the school on local bus services, Dart or Luas. Each house normally accommodates between 5 to 12 people sharing facilities such as bathrooms, a common dining room, lounge with television, a fully equipped kitchen, and — in some cases — a patio garden.

Single, double, or twin shared rooms are available, offering a suitable solution for any student. Bed linen is supplied, and communal areas are cleaned on a weekly basis. House share remains one of the most popular choices for our students and as such, book up very quickly. Specific location details are confirmed one to two weeks prior to the student’s arrival.

Course overview

GENERAL ENGLISH Our General English Courses are for students of all levels of English: from complete beginners to advanced speakers. No matter how much you already know, all of our General English Courses will help you to speak English better and more fluently.

GENERAL ENGLISH COMPACT

Everything you receive in our standard General English courses condensed into 4 days of tuition. These shorter learning weeks allow students to make the most of immersive aspects of their experience over a long weekend.

INTENSIVE ENGLISH Our Intensive English Courses is the fast track to communicating easily and with greater confidence in English. We use fun, innovative and interactive teaching styles to help achieve each individuals full potential quickly.

ENGLISH FOR WORK The primary focus of the course will be on pre-employment English functions such as improving accuracy and fluency in interviews, CV writing, letter writing, social media presentation for job hunting and improving general confidence for our students who take this English for Work course.

EXAM PREPARATION If studying for IELTS or any of the Cambridge ESOL examinations, our special Exam Preparation Courses provide the skills, techniques and exam practice needed to succeed. Our practical and focused teaching style will ensure students excel in their exams.

ONE-TO-ONE For those that want to improve their English very quickly, or want to learn English for a specific reason, then we recommend our One-to-One English Classes. And the great thing is we can do them anywhere — in one of our teaching centres, in an office, place of work or even online.

General English

Our General English Courses are for people of all levels of English, from complete beginners to near-native speakers. No matter how much you already know, all of our General English Courses will teach you to speak English better and more fluently.

We’ll develop practical communication skills, with special emphasis on speaking, pronunciation and listening. Student’s looking to maximise their full potential? Practise business skills such as presentations, negotiating, meetings, interview techniques and much more…then look no further than English for Work.

The primary focus of the course will be on pre-employment English functions such as improving accuracy and fluency at interviews, CV writing, letter writing, social media presentation for job hunting and improving confidence in a professional environment. This exciting course is packed full of practical sessions to improve the students’ career prospects in an international marketplace.

LONDONCore English for Work input is delivered on a daily basis during morning sessions with the addition of 1 or 2 hours of electives per day. Students who want to increase weekly hours to 20 or 25 can chose between Writing, Conversation and Grammar electives to best suit their development goals.

For students looking to develop their professional portfolio and employability within the international market, unpaid internships are a great experience and addition to the CV.

English Studio offers unpaid work placements after completion of a 6 week language course through either London or Dublin schools. We are able to place according to the individual’s career aspirations in sectors such as engineering, hospitality, journalism, information technology, media and much more.
