Join Santa to light the Tree Geneseo’s Lighted Christmas Parade starts at 5 p.m. and will head south from Brown St. down State St. Santa will end the parade by riding a fire truck to the south end of State Street and join Mayor Carroll-Duda to light the city’s Christmas tree, in front of Geneseo Historical Museum. Children are encouraged to meet Santa at this tree during the lighting. Winners of the parade and City’s Lighting Contest will also be announced at this time.
Jingle Bell Obstacle Course Attend the 7th annual Jingle Bell Obstacle Course from 3-4 p.m. at Geneseo Community Center. Participants will be timed while running through a winter wonderland. Come for the challenge, leave with a prize! For ages Pre-K to 5th grade. Free!
Jingle Bell Skate Complete your Christmas Walk experience with a special Skate Night at Geneseo Community Center from 6-9 p.m. No pre-registration required. Admis-sion is Free. Skate rental is $3.
Entertainment ‘Central-ized’ Central Theater has an abundance of entertainment all day during the Walk. Doors for the “White Christmas” sing-along open at 1:45 p.m. Christmas cartoons will show at 5 p.m. with the Geneseo High School Madrigal singers and brass premiering at 6 p.m. Tickets for the theater’s nightly feature will sell at 7:30 p.m. followed by the movie at 8 p.m.

Jingle (Run) all the way A chip timing system will be used during this year’s Jingle Run, slated for 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 starting at the Victory Center, 218 S. State Street. Registration is at 7:30 a.m. Pre-registered run-ners will receive a race t-shirt. All participants will enjoy a post-run party. Also at this year’s run is a miniature health fair featur-ing Hammond-Henry Hospital, Fareway, Maple Leaf CrossFit, Sweat, and Geneseo Community Center. Race winners receive Jingle Run medals. All registered runners will be entered into a drawing for four $25 gift certificates from Casey’s. Register today at Cornbelt Running Club or Webscorer.
‘Wanna build a snowman? This year’s Walk includes a fun, new treasure hunt called, “Wanna Build a Snowman?” From 4-7 p.m. chil-dren (accompanied by a parent) can pick up their start-ing clue at State Farm Agency, 113 S. State Street. From there, fun puzzles will send you to three other stores, collecting pieces of the three dimensional snowman along the way. Once finished, visit the lobby of Central
Bank to assemble your snowman!
Visit with Alpacas Peppertree Alpacas will be in the Christmas Parade starting at 5 p.m. They will also be on display in front of My Moon Creations at 104 S. State Street, weather permitting. Peppertree sells mittens, capes and gloves inside the store.
Geneseo Historical Museum Geneseo’s Historical Museum has a full schedule for the Walk! Pam Edwards and Geneseo Community Choir will perform in the Carriage House from 6-7 p.m. Musical groups will entertain in the parlor from 6-7:30 p.m. Living scenes of yesteryear will be depicted throughout the museum. Tours of the museum will also be offered until 8 p.m.

Christmas Walk Stamp In commemoration of the 2018 Christmas Walk, a special stamp
will be available for your Christmas cards at the Geneseo Chamber Information Center, located in Hanford Insurance, 119 S. State St. From 4-8 p.m. drop off your postage-paid Christmas cards and special ‘elves’ will stamp and mail your cards for you! It’s a
great way to share Geneseo’s Christmas spirit with friends and relatives, near and far!
Geneseo’s Giving Trees Geneseo's Giving Tree campaign is aimed at raising money for local charities while creating a festive and fun environment in our charming city. Participating businesses have sponsored and decorated beautiful Christmas trees to be purchased by the community through a silent auction format. Trees will be on dis-play for bid Nov. 16 - Dec. 10. Christmas Walk Ornament Sue Bos from RutabagA Art designed this year’s Walk ornament based on the theme “Flannel & Frost.” Sue said she incorporated the check pattern of a flannel shirt with the twin-kling star of a snowflake. The blue paint reflects well on the light-colored clay stoneware, which is fired twice and includes a reflective glaze. These ornaments start selling November 16 and are $10 each at RutabagA Art, 108 N. State St.; Geneseo Art League, 125 N. State St.; and Smith
Studio & Gallery, 124 S. State St. Quantities are limited.

Visit with Alpacas Peppertree Alpacas will be in the Christmas Parade starting at 5 p.m. They will also be on display in front of My Moon Creations at 104 S. State Street, weather permitting. Peppertree sells mittens, capes and gloves inside the store.
Geneseo Historical Museum Geneseo’s Historical Museum has a full schedule for the Walk! Pam Edwards and Geneseo Community Choir will perform in the Carriage House from 6-7 p.m. Musical groups will entertain in the parlor from 6-7:30 p.m. Living scenes of yesteryear will be depicted throughout the museum. Tours of the museum will also be offered until 8 p.m.

Join Santa to light the Tree Geneseo’s Lighted Christmas Parade starts at 5 p.m. and will head south from Brown St. down State St. Santa will end the parade by riding a fire truck to the south end of State Street and join Mayor Carroll-Duda to light the city’s Christmas tree, in front of Geneseo Historical Museum. Children are encouraged to meet Santa at this tree during the lighting. Winners of the parade and City’s Lighting Contest will also be announced at this time.
Jingle Bell Obstacle Course Attend the 7th annual Jingle Bell Obstacle Course from 3-4 p.m. at Geneseo Community Center. Participants will be timed while running through a winter wonderland. Come for the challenge, leave with a prize! For ages Pre-K to 5th grade. Free!
Jingle Bell Skate Complete your Christmas Walk experience with a special Skate Night at Geneseo Community Center from 6-9 p.m. No pre-registration required. Admis-sion is Free. Skate rental is $3.
Entertainment ‘Central-ized’ Central Theater has an abundance of entertainment all day during the Walk. Doors for the “White Christmas” sing-along open at 1:45 p.m. Christmas cartoons will show at 5 p.m. with the Geneseo High School Madrigal singers and brass premiering at 6 p.m. Tickets for the theater’s nightly feature will sell at 7:30 p.m. followed by the movie at 8 p.m.
