Please explain: • Sometimes certain topics are hidden • Using the search works, but you find obsolete info • The large volume of information on the website can sometimes make it

difficult to find the exact information needed quickly without the use of intermediate to advanced search techniques. Information is also sometimes redundant and/or not updated in a timely fashion.

• The site is poorly organized - navigation is too flat and broad • some links are broken • It depends on what you are looking for! • The search function in My Bucks does not work very well. • I've had to figure it out instead of it being intuitive. The Academic

Calendar is not organized in a fashion that allows the user to find the information quickly. The portal is very hard to find information. You're never sure which section to look at.

• old archived pages appear with a search on occasionally • I don't have too much difficulty finding information

• unless you put your specific course info in the search bar, you have to drill down way too far to find anything and often you get old information

• I'm use to the site, so it isn't difficult, but I still have some difficulty searching for something quickly. I can understand why this would be a problem, especially for someone new to the site.

• very difficult to drill down to program information unless you know exactly what you're looking for

• I use it daily, and know where everything is, but it is not an easy website to navigate

• I've used it for so long I know it well. But some offices are difficult to locate. • The directory and finding course information can be somewhat difficult at

times. • The website to me feels compartmented to each area and doesn't flow to

allow you to always logically find something in the shortest amount of clicks possible.

• Testing Center hours and sample syllabi are very difficult to find. • The links are fine but it seems almost every time I use the search window, I

can't get any information! • I work in the call center and have learned how to use the website. • The menus are not easy to navigate. The left-hand menu style seems

dated. • I find the drop down menus user friendly; at times more drilling down on the

navigation menus is required under each linked page; perhaps my "very easy to find" is based on my familiarity and comfort with the site.

• There are too many steps to access the information. • Too many clicks and pages for some of the more used information like the

registration information and calendar/dates. • Things could be more direct. For instance, there should be a direct link or

quicklink to Financial Aid- instead you have to look under Admissions. Also in the staff directory I feel the alphabetical links should STAY at the top, so you don't have to navigate back to the main listing and THEN choose another letter.

• Pull down menus should be clearer • Some information does seem to be in a logical place. For instance, I know

that Foundation/Alumni is where scholarship info can be found, but students would not know to look there. It often takes more than a few clicks to get somewhere.

• There are many ways to find the same info not always accurate or seamless

• I feel like most information I need is easy to find, but occasionally, something is difficult. This is often related to registration, admissions, or advising.

5. What strategy do you use to find information on Bucks.edu? (Select all that apply)

45 Responses 0 Skipped Question

I use the navigation menus 57.8% 26

I use Bucks.edu search 77.8% 35 I use Google.com to

search 6.7% 3

Other (please specify) 8.9% 4 Other: • I am uncertain as to what is meant by 'bucks.edu search' and 'google.com

search' in the options above. I use the Google Custom search accessible at the top right corner of www.bucks.edu.

• I usually have several tabs open with items I use daily. I also use the search box to find anything I need.

• Quick Links • The search function doesn't return good results. I find it to be pretty useless.

6. If you could add any feature on Bucks.edu to make your life easier, what would you add?

25 Responses 20 Skipped Question

Responses: • Not having to log in all the time for My Bucks • New to Bucks, what now? • Hyperlink phone numbers on the website. This would allow mobile users to call a department by clicking on the phone number in their

mobile device's web browser. • get rid of outdated links coming up on searches • Faster/easier access to all of the registration steps, a direct link to log-in information - password reset, and an easier way for students to

access faculty e-mail addresses. • site directory • "We need to have more departments listed on the landing page. It is sometimes difficult to find specific departments and information

without using the search. We need to add the costs more prominently, easier to find. • " • A calendar similar to Google Calendar that lets you adjust how you're able to see the day, week, month's events. • There should be contact information for every page. More intuitive and simple design. • I'd have the tabs display items as a list, rather than drop down menus. • better search functions • Be able to get into my email without going into Office 365 • Somehow make it easier to find offices or an organization chart. I don't know which office is in which area or department, for example. • I would put Financial Aid under its own tab on the home page and make it easier to find transcript information. • Quick link to SciQuest • Contact information on each webpage re: director/manager of the program. Example, if a student is interested in AARP, who would

they contact with questions? • An employee-only registration process • A way to get a map to a classroom or event. Like a Google map that says where I am at now and which way I should turn • More attention to the search box. I try to show callers how to use that. • Direct access to MyBucks. Not to a landing page and then MyBucks. • I would make the student forms for PSTC much easier to find. Also, I would add fillable forms for PSTC transcript request. • A simple Academic Calendar from the home page (with two years of current/future term dates). Academic Calendar should not have

sentences and all the registration and tuition refund dates. Forms link from the homepage with a comprehensive list of them all. Parents link from the home page with information geared toward parents.

• As an administrator, the ability to navigate the site more readily. • A more useful search function. • There is a lot of outdated information when searching a particular area which can be confusing not just for employees but for students.

7. If you could change anything about the Bucks.edu website, what would you change and why?

29 Responses 16 Skipped Question

Responses: • Easier way to get to email • When I enter a search if it could take me to the location on our website instead of to a list of items I may be looking for • Pay here button • Information needs to be delivered in a more manageable fashion. It is not uncommon for visitors to the website to call in after checking

the site because they are intimidated by an overabundance of info or confused by it's layout. • Reorganize the content around specific domains of information/function. • Less and smaller pictures. Newer pictures also. Fewer Zlock advertisements. • color scheme • It should be easier to locate the IT Help Desk tutorials and self-help documents. • It is difficult to go from Mybucks to website or vice versa, you have to log in multiple times. • The double click to the mybucks page. You click on mybucks, to click on mybucks again. • Have large program areas have access to make needed changes on a more timely basis • The website should be much more visually appealing, interactive, and easy to navigate. The home page needs to clearly convey the

primary message of the college whether that be Value, Student Life/Success, Culture, etc. • Too many clicks to find information, too much outdated information, inconsistent layout • Make sure links and items are correct. • Design it strategically to promote programs based on categories...workforce related, arts related, etc. so viewer has a clear idea of how

to find the information needed • get rid of the outdated information • Make it so it defaults to opening in a new window so that I can have 2 things open at once. • See No. 6. • I would change the Navigation tabs. Add some, delete some. Make is easier for students to find course registration. I would also make

sure the calendar of dates is more efficient. Not all events and deadlines are listed here for student access. • make it easier to find registration • I would group things based on when goes together not areas. For Example, students don't care that ABC degree program is in ABC

department. They just want to know about ABC program. Like things could be grouped, but not so overwhelming you get lost or have to click 5 more times to see something simple.

• The bar of pictures at the top of most site takes up too much space • Make sure everything is current - sometimes searches pull up old information. • improved navigation - we have way too many menus on the main page - I would think this would improve accessibility, and it would be

easier to direct students. • Just to make sure all the information is up to date and edited properly. • The look of the home page. It needs to be more colorful and vibrant. The majors that we offer should be available on the home page. • Easier navigation. Get rid of duplicate information on multiple web pages. • For visitors, I wish we had a better way of directing people to the right place, especially new students and their parents who are

unfamiliar with college or Bucks lingo. • To have a more modern look and feel.

8. What feedback would you like to share with the web team regarding Bucks.edu?

22 Responses 23 Skipped Question

Responses: • Add a website for each major so students can see all that is going on and not just STEM • I would like to thank the web team for their hard work. Your efforts are appreciated! • Site and site services are oftentimes slow (responsiveness). We have a hodgepodge of systems/services feeding into the site and

performance is affected negatively. • There are a lot of mistakes on the website • Good luck with your endeavor! • Comparing our website to others colleges I think our is better than others. We have much better layout, and • I'd like to see everything more organized. • takes a LONG time to get website updated • Less text, more visuals, more interactive. People don't read anymore. Must be intuitive. • Please be careful about how big the pix are on the front; if they're too big, there's a lot of manipulation one has to do to get to the

information one wants. • There’s a lot of duplicate information on the home page. Check the drop downs. Maybe put "Why Bucks?" on the home page and try

to sell the college to students and parents. Include a video and cost saving facts. • I don't believe our mobile interface is always the best. The website has gotten better but toolbars, left and right side information can get

lost in the shuffle. The mobile interface for the Portal is horrible in my opinion when trying to use a phone. • you should be able to pay your bill with the mobile app • I actually find our current website very user friendly. During advising, I have gone on other university/college websites and, even with my

experience, I have difficulty finding what I am looking for. I can't imagine a prospective student's frustration! • Callers complain so my recommendation would be to see if there is a way to engage students and/or callers for their viewpoints. • I could be wrong, but I think the feature to see the upcoming course offerings when you look up a course is new - it is fabulous! • I think Bucks.edu provides an excellent resource with a wealth of information. Often a question may arise in my office that does not

require an e-mail or phone call because I already know the information is available on the site. • I like "Quicklinks" tab. I like drop down menus. • Centralize the development of webpages. Despite the attempt to provide a template to our users, every page looks different and uses

different conventions. This alone makes it difficult to navigate. • I do like how you keep the home page (bucks.edu) updated and changing and refreshed all the time. Good job! • "Let's highlight all of our Academic departments and all of programs study on the home page. The only programs that ever get on the

home page are the healthcare/nursing and metal worker/industrial maintenance ones. • I am not suggesting that every department or program get on the home page everyday, but could all of the academic programs show

up on a rotating basis? " • Many times the information on department pages and catalog pages are not the same. It would be nice that the information on the our

site is current not always the case. For instance, sometimes a particular link within a page does not work. 9. What is your employee
