Course Fee: $400

Who should attend?Engineers, designers, energy engineers/managers, project managers, estimators and facilities/operations personnel who are responsible for condensate recovery, pressure and temperature control, and boiler room systems.

Subjects coveredThe Spirax Sarco Steam System Design course is action packed with many participant exercises. It begins with the sizing of a complete steam distribution system for HVAC and process applications. This includes sizing of steam pipes, pressure reducing stations and control valves.

Proper steam trap sizing and selection for various methods are practiced as are methods to detect steam trap failure. Condensate removal and recovery are also discussed, as these play an important role in efficiently operating a plant. The participants work through exercises on sizing condensate return lines and flash lines. The concept of stall is discussed and practiced.

Professional Development Hours (PDH) are givenPrerequisite - STM100

STM201 - Condensate Recovery Design Course Length: 1 Day (visit spiraxsarco.com/global/us/training to see a full listing of course dates)

Course Fee: $400 Who should attend?Engineers, designers, energy engineers/managers, project managers, estimators and facilities/operations personnel whoare responsible for condensate recovery, pressure and temperature control, and boiler room systems.

Subjects coveredThe Spirax Sarco Condensate Recovery course is focused on why and how to recover condensate. Topics include: trap selection and sizing, pipe sizing, types of condensate pumps, open and closed return systems and proper drainage of equipment, and economic benefits of condensate recovery. An in-depth classroom instruction on “systems stall” is given along with solutions to improve condensate drainage from heat transfer equipment.

Participants will leave with the knowledge to prevent flooding of a steam heat transfer equipment, which can lead to poor system performance and unsafe operating conditions such as waterhammer.
