2018 TET NDWG Purpose

•Address ongoing workforce & economic challenges

•Assist Dislocated Workers to reenter the workforce

•Provide career services and training

Project Overview- Requirements

•CalJOBSSM : Enrollments, activities, reports, & case notes

• Individual Employment Plan (IEP)- all 2018 TET NDWG participants must have a completed IEP.

•Report Unsubsidized Employment

• Strategic Partnerships5

2018 TET NDWG Eligibility = Dislocated Worker

Eligible Participants= The only eligible participants for this grant are dislocated workers:

(i)Has been terminated or laid off, OR has received a notice of termination or layoff, from employment;

(ii) Is eligible for or has exhausted entitlement to unemployment compensation, OR has been employed for a duration sufficient to demonstrate to appropriate staff of the One-Stop Center attachment to the workforce but is not eligible for unemployment compensation due to insufficient earnings or having performed services for an employer not covered under the state’s unemployment compensation law; AND

(iii) unlikely to return to a previous industry or occupation

Project Budget

•Administrative Costs= allocable portion of necessary & reasonable costs that are not related to direct provision of workforce services, function based.

•Program Costs= all grant costs that relate to the direct provision of services to participants & employers.

•Administrative Cap of 7.5% of the total expenditures8

Timeline• 2018 TET NDWG Project Term (Period of Performance):

10/1/2018- 9/30/2020

• Exhibits & Statement of Work due by November 2, 2018

• Monthly Narrative Reports (cumulative) are due by the 5th of the following month

• Quarterly Reports (cumulative) are due by the 20th of the following month after the end of a quarter

• All CalJOBSSM (Participant & Expenditure) Reports are due by the 20th

of the following month for every month

CalJOBSSM Activities

•Participant data entry late or not done = cash hold

•No Needs Related Payments Activities

•Participant activities not matching with expenditures

Reports- CalJOBSSM Financial Reports

• A $0 Report must be submitted until you have cumulative accrued expenses

• ACCRUED expenses for goods or services received

• Expenditures must be equal or greater than the previous month for every cost category
