B I C Y C L E R E N T A LBike the 6.1-mile paved trail circling Stony Creek Lake. Single speed bicycles can be rented at Eastwood Beach daily, Memorial Day through Labor Day.
B O A T I N GBOAT L AUNCHThe boat launch facility allows easy access to Stony Creek Lake. A separate, non-motorized watercraft launch area is located at Eastwood Beach. A Metroparks boat permit is required.
BOAT REN TALCharacter paddleboats, rowboats, canoes, and kayaks are available for rent at the Boat Rental located at the Mt. Vernon picnic area. The Boat Rental is open daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day and weekends beginning in early May through early September, weather permitting. Special senior rates are available on weekdays.
BOAT S TOR AGEDry storage can be rented for boats stored on trailers. Summer season is April 1 through September 31. Winter storage is October 1 through March 31.
C A M P I N GRustic family camping weekends are o� ered at the Ridgewood Campground on select dates from Memorial Day through mid-October. An RV dump station is available across from Eastwood Beach.
C O N C E S S I O N SFood is sold at Eastwood beach’s food bar. Availability will vary depending on the season.
Food and beverages, including beer, wine, and liquor are sold at the Golf Starter Building. No outside alcoholic beverages or coolers allowed.
D I S C G O L FLocated in the Gladeview picnic area, two 18-hole championship disc golf courses are some of the most challenging in Michigan. An annual bag tag, which gives unlimited play at all Metropark courses, or a daily wristband, is required to play.
F I S H I N GStony Creek Lake is a popular � shing spot for pike, walleye, perch, bluegills, and crappies. The state record crappie was caught here! A barrier-free � shing pier is located on the west side of the boat launch area. Fishing is prohibited from bridges and the lake area north of 28 Mile Road. A Michigan Fishing license is required.
F I T N E S S T R A I L SRun or walk along three di� erent length trails, with exercise stations, located near Eastwood Beach. The course provides a balanced routine of physical activity, o� ering ¾ mile, 1 mile, and 1 ¾ miles of trail.
G O A P E ! T R E E T O P A D V E N T U R EA high ropes course includes zip lines through the forest at the Southdale Picnic Area. The course takes you on a 2-3 hour adventure through the forest canopy. Register online at www.goape.com.
G O L F5 8 6 -7 8 1 - 9 16 6This 6,928 yard, 18-hole, par-72 course and driving range o� ers power carts, pull carts, and clubs for rent. Senior (55+) and junior (20 and younger) rates are available. Some restrictions apply.
G R O U P C A M POvernight camping for organized youth groups is available at nearby Wolcott Mill Metropark. Advanced registration required.
H I K E - B I K E T R A I L SBicycle, inline skate, walk, or run the 6.1 mile paved hike-bike trail that circles Stony Creek Lake. Pets on a six foot leash are permitted.
I N W O O D R U S T I C H I K I N G T R A I L SLocated north of Inwood Road, the Inwood Hiking Trails feature seven and a half miles of trail, a constructed wetland, woods, and � eld.
· These primitive trails are for foot tra� c only.
· Expect to � nd and traverse wet or muddy areas, moderate grades and side slopes, narrow boardwalks, and minor obstacles.
· Carry out all garbage.
· Trails close at dusk.
· All pets must be leashed and cleaned up after.
· All natural things, non-living, living or dead, must be left where they are. Collecting is prohibited.
· Walk slowly and remain on the trails.
· Bicycles, motorcycles, trail bikes, ATVs, snowmobiles, and horses are prohibited.
· Picnicking is not allowed in this area.
M O U N T A I N B I K I N G T R A I L SMountain bikers and hikers enjoy 14 miles of hilly, heavily-wooded dirt trails that traverse the southwest side of the park. The Clinton River Area Mountain Bike Association (CRAMBA) helps keep this area groomed. Helmets are recommended on mountain bike trails.
LO C AL RULES· Stay on marked trails.
· Cyclists are encouraged to wear a helmet.
· Pedestrians have right-of-way.
· Hikers need not follow directional arrows.
· The black trail is a single-track trail. The green and blue trails are two-track trails.
P E T SDogs and other pets are permitted in the park only when kept on a six foot (or less) leash. Pets are not permitted in the nature areas, golf course, buildings, cross-country ski trails, or on beaches.
P I C N I C STables, grills, and shelters are located throughout the park. Please register with the Park O� ce if you have a group of 50 people or more. Shelters can be reserved for a fee.
P L A Y G R O U N D SThere is a large playground located at Eastwood Beach. Smaller play structures, swings, and slides can be found in picnic areas throughout the park.
S U N S E T T E R R A C E P A R T Y/ R E C E P T I O N T E N TA white banquet tent can be rented for parties for up to 250 people. This tent is located with a picturesque view of Stony Creek Lake; a nearby gazebo provides a charming focal point for weddings or other social gatherings. Catering is required.
S W I M M I N GBaypoint and Eastwood beaches are open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. throughout the summer. The beach house at Eastwood Beach o� ers a food bar, dressing rooms, heated showers, and � rst aid facilities. Paddleboards can also be rented at Eastwood Beach. Fires and glass containers are not permitted on the beaches.
W A T E R S L I D EThe Trippo Water Slide has arrived – and it’s MASSIVE! 50 feet high – 245 feet long! You can purchase single rides or grab an all-day, unlimited thrills wristband.
W I N T E R S P O R T SCROSS- COUN TRY SK I INGSki more than 13 miles of marked and classical groomed cross-country ski trails, covering level to hilly terrain suitable for all skiers. Rental equipment and snacks are available weekends at the Ski Center (Golf Starter Building).
ICE FISHINGIce � shing is available at both sections of Stony Creek Lake below 28 Mile Road. Ice shanties must be marked on all four sides with names and addresses and must be registered at the Park O� ce if left overnight. Ice shanties must be removed before sundown the � rst Sunday in March and on a daily basis thereafter, or earlier if the ice becomes unsafe. A Michigan Fishing license is required.
ICE SK ATINGIce skating rinks are located on Stony Creek Lake near the boat launch area. The rinks are lighted during the evening, and the warming building has a heated lobby, restrooms, and vending machines. No skate rentals.
SNOWBOARDINGSnowboarding is allowed on one hill, designated for snowboards, located near the Gladeview Picnic Area.
SLEDDINGSledding hills are located at both Gladeview and West Branch picnic area.
NATURE CENTER HOUR S • 586-781-9113See live snakes, turtles, and � sh at the Stony Creek Nature Center, or hike along the self-guided nature trails. Park interpreters conduct interesting hikes and other programs including paddling a 34-foot Voyageur canoe to learn about Stony Creek Lake.

N A T U R E T R A I L SStony Creek, Re� ection Pond, woods, � elds, woodland edges, and small wetlands all placed in a landscape formed ages ago by glaciers provide the backdrop for the six miles of trails that course through the moderately hilly terrain. Look for a variety of birds, including wild turkeys.
