The University of Tennessee’s student chapter of The Wildlife and Fisheries Society took 3 rd place overall out of over 20 colleges and universities. Moreover, UT placed 2 nd overall in the Team Field Event, 3 rd overall in Quiz Bowl, and brought home several individual awards. Hosted by a different school every year, the Southeastern Wildlife Conclave is the event that attracts over 500 wildlife students, educators, and professionals for three days of competition, educational field trips, professional networking, and fun. The University of Tennessee hosted the first Southeastern Wildlife Conclave in 1991. The UT student chapter competed against the University of Georgia, University of Florida, LSU, Auburn University, Clemson University, NC State University, Virginia Tech, and many others. Competitions are centered on plant and animal identification, wildlife research, habitat management, and conservation topics in outdoor settings. Mississippi State University hosted the 2017 Southeastern Wildlife Conclave over Spring

Break from March 16-19. The University of Tennessee’s student chapter of The Wildlife and Fisheries Society took 3rd place overall out of over 20 colleges and universities. Moreover, UT placed 2nd overall in the Team Field Event, 3rd overall in Quiz Bowl, and brought home several individual awards.

Hosted by a different school every year, the Southeastern Wildlife Conclave is the event
