Shane Carney - Executive Director / U12 Girls Lunar / U16 Girls Lunar / U18 Boys Lunar (co-coach) Shane founded Eclipse in 2010 and has been the director since its inception. He has 17 years experience coaching youth club soccer players and has received more than 50 certifications in the areas of coaching soccer, child development, and player safety. He is in his eighth year coaching the Varsity Boys Soccer team at Campolindo where he has won more titles than the program had in its previous 40+ years combined. He grew up in Lafayette and attended Burton Valley, Stanley and Campolindo.

Luis Pinto - Director of Coaching and Operations / U18 Girls Lunar / U18 Girls Solar (co-coach) Luis is entering his sixth season with Eclipse and his fifth as one of the club’s directors. Luis played college soccer at Chabot College. In addition to coaching for Eclipse, Luis has coached at Hayward High School, Tennyson High School and Chabot College. He is currently the JV Girls soccer coach at Campolindo. Luis holds the National, Advanced National and Premier diplomas from the NSCAA.

Alfonso Martinez - U10 Boys Solar Alfonso has been playing soccer all of his life. He played soccer for club and school during his time growing up in El Cerrito. He later attended Contra Costa College. He has coached a number of young teams, including his former middle school. This is Alfonso’s first season with Eclipse.

Amelia Salazar - U14 Girls Lunar / U18 Girls Solar (co-coach) Amelia is a graduate of Saint Mary’s College where she competed on their soccer team. Amelia grew up in Oregon where she was a star player for Oregon Rush Soccer Club and Bend High School. She was recruited to Saint Mary’s by former Eclipse Girls Director Heather Dittmer when Heather was an assistant coach on their staff. During her time at Saint Mary’s, Amelia was a coach for SMC youth soccer camps. Amelia is entering her fourth season as a head coach with Eclipse.

Brandon Thompson - U12 Boys Solar Brandon grew up in Oakland where he was a star player for Bay Oaks Soccer Club (now East Bay United). He played recreationally during his time in college and has continued to foster his passion for the game of soccer through coaching. He earned his first coaching license in 2014 and is excited to continue his coaching development with Eclipse. This will be Brandon’s first year with Eclipse.

Brian Pinon - U11 Boys Lunar / U15 Boys Lunar Brian has experienced a lot of success as a player. He played his youth club soccer in the De Anza Force academy system, as well as in the Olympic Developmental Program. He spent one year playing professionally for Club Atlas in Mexico before returning to the states to play for Holy Names University. He has several years of youth coaching experience, including stints with Castro Valley Soccer Club, Juventus Soccer Club, and Cabernet Indoor Soccer Complex. This is Brian’s second year with Eclipse.

Bryan Carney - U14 Girls Solar Bryan has been involved in local youth soccer for over twenty years. During that time frame, he has been a soccer coach for LMYA, Lamorinda Soccer Club, Campolindo High School and Eclipse. He also spent many years coaching indoor soccer and futsal teams. In addition to being a coach, Bryan has also served on the boards of many local organizations, including Lamorinda Soccer Club and Eclipse. This is his seventh year with Eclipse.

Colette Bowler - U9 Girls Colette played collegiately at UMASS-Amherst where she helped lead the team to two NCAA Tournament appearances and as high as a #2 national ranking. She coached as a graduate assistant at Saint Mary’s College before becoming the first head women’s soccer coach in Mills College history in 1994 where she remained for 20 successful years. This will be her fourth season as a head coach with Eclipse.

Dan Markey - U11 Boys Solar Dan started his coaching career in 2007 with McLean Youth Socer in Virginia. While living in Colorado, he coached for Stingers SC (now Altitude FC) from 2009 to 2012. He served as an assistant coach for Montclair Soccer Club in 2014 and 2015. He has been a part of Eclipse as a parent and referee for the past two years and joins the coaching staff this season.

Dana Fagundes - U10 Girls / U11 Girls Solar (co-coach) Dana was a high school soccer teammate of Coach Norma at San Leandro High School. After high school, Dana went on to play collegiate soccer at Chabot College. She is currently the JV Girls Soccer Head Coach at San Leandro High School and is excited to enter her second season as a head coach with Eclipse.

Geraldine Coates - U10 Girls Solar Geraldine, who goes by Gerry, has been playing soccer since she was ten years old. She played her high school soccer at San Leandro High School. She has continued her connection with that program with her coaching. She has been on staff at SLHS the past two seasons. This will be her first season with Eclipse.

Javier Robles - U14 Boys Solar Javier has a decorated playing background, including playing for the University of Washington, the Seattle Sounders organization, and Sacramento Gold of the NPSL. Javier got his coaching start in Tacoma, Washington, coaching at the Little Kickers program and has continued to find passion in teaching the next generation. This will be his first year with Eclipse.

Jenn Conti - U11 Girls Solar (co-coach) Jenn played competitive soccer for ten years growing up until an injury forced her to hang up her cleats. Her desire to stay involved in the game resulted in her taking an interest in coaching. She is a coach with the San Leandro High School Girls JV team and is returning for her second year with Eclipse after coaching our U11 Nova Girls and Future Eclipse program last season.

Jimmy Adranly - U10 Boys Lunar / U16 Boys Lunar / Goalkeeping Trainer Jimmy was an All-DFAL goalkeeper during his time playing for Campolindo. He played soccer and football collegiately at Chapman University. After college, Jimmy got into coaching youth soccer at the club and high school levels. Jimmy has been the assistant varsity boys soccer coach at Campolindo High School alongside club director Shane Carney for six seasons. He also coached the varsity boys soccer team at Marin Catholic for one season. Jimmy is entering his fifth season with Eclipse.

John Nakanishi - U12 Boys Lunar / U13 Girls Solar John has been coaching youth soccer for over 10 years, including stints with Heritage Soccer Club and PHMSA. In addition to being a coach, he has also served as an Advanced Coaching Instructor in the AYSO programs. He has many advanced coaching licenses, including the NSCAA National Diploma and AYSO National Coaching Certificate. He is currently the JV Girls soccer coach at Hayward High School and has also previously coached at College Park High School. John is returning for his third season with Eclipse.

Johnny Molina - U13 Girls Lunar Johnny played collegiately at the Private University of Nicaragua. He began coaching youth soccer in the Bay Area in 1994 and has coached for several different organizations, including Diablo FC, Mt. Diablo, and Heritage Soccer Club. He has also coached the varsity girls soccer team at Clayton Valley High School. This will be his third season with Eclipse.

Joseph Viola - U18 Boys Solar Joe lived in Germany for a large part of his life. During his time in Germany, he played for clubs including FSV Zellingen, SV Eussenheim, and FV 1920 Karlstadt. He started his coaching career coaching his daughter in OYA. His first club coaching experience came with Pleasanton Rage. Joe is in his second year as the Miramonte JV Girls Soccer coach. This is his second season with Eclipse.

Julio Esparza - U13 Boys / U15 Girls Julio played soccer growing up for Oakland Chivas and Hayward High. After high school, he played college soccer at Chabot College. He has ten years of youth club soccer coaching experience between stints at Dublin SC, San Ramon SC, Bulldogs Soccer Academy, and Eclipse. He spent 5 years as the JV Girls Soccer Coach at Hayward High and is currently in his fourth year coaching their varsity girls team. He is entering his fifth year with Eclipse.

Leticia Ramos - U9-10 Program Director / U11 Girls Lunar Leticia played nine years of club soccer for JYSL and played varsity soccer at Oakland High School. After high school, she played college soccer at Chabot College. Leticia started coaching as a soccer camp instructor for the Piedmont Recreation Department. Leticia has been an assistant coach for Eclipse for five seasons, a head coach the last three years, and ran our Future Eclipse program the last two seasons. This is her fifth year at Eclipse.

Miguel Camacho - U9 Boys / U18 Boys Lunar (co-coach) Miguel played high school soccer at Arroyo High School. He went on to play two years of college soccer at Chabot College where he met Eclipse Boys Director Luis Pinto. Miguel was the Head JV Boys Soccer Coach and varsity assistant coach for the Tennyson High School boys soccer program before joining as an assistant with the Campolindo JV Boys team for the past two seasons. Miguel returns for his fifth season with Eclipse.

Nick Barbarino - U16 Girls Solar Nick played competitive club soccer in Southern California for 12 years. He had a successful high school career before moving on to attend the University of Southern California. While at USC, Nick was a player on both the club outdoor and club indoor teams. He worked for Eclipse as an assistant coach in 2016 and moves into the head coaching role this year. He is also currently the head coach for the Miramonte frosh/soph boys and girls teams.

Raul Herrera - U16 Boys Solar Raul has been coaching youth soccer for over 20 years, including coaching Coach Norma back in her youth club days. He is currently in his tenth year as the head varsity boys coach at San Leandro High School where he has had consistent success. He is entering his second year with Eclipse.

Tarek Alameddine - U12 Girls Solar / U14 Boys Lunar Tarek Alameddine first came together with Eclipse Director Shane Carney on a soccer field in 1996 as club teammates. Tarek went on to become the DFAL’s Offensive MVP in 2003 while playing for Acalanes High School (where he later worked as an assistant coach). He competed in soccer at the collegiate level at UC Santa Cruz. Tarek enters his sixth season as a head coach for Eclipse. In addition to coaching for Eclipse, Tarek is a personal fitness trainer and bootcamp instructor.
