2017 POKÉMON LATIN AMERICA
INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
In April we will hold our first Latin America International Championships, which will be the third
International Championship of the 2016/2017 Season.
All players who have a POP ID are qualified to participate, there being no minimum quantity of
points to participate.
The event will be divided in 3 categories: Junior, Senior and Master.
In addition to the Pokémon TCG tournament we will have as part of the event the LATIN AMERICA
INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS VG.
Below we provide the date, location and relevant information for participation.
Date
April 20 (Master check-in – TCG and VG), 21, 22 and 23.

Registration
For the Junior and Senior categories, the registration amount is R$ 50.00; for the Master category, the amount is R$ 100.00. The registration period will be from 03/17/2017 to 04/19/2017 and it shall be made exclusively online, through the website: www.copag.com.br/pokemon, and payment should be performed through the Stripe system (www.stripe.com)
Check in
On 04/20/2017 from 6pm to 9pm, TCG and VG Master Category players shall check in at the event and on 04/21/2017 from 6pm to 9pm, TCG Junior and Senior Category players and VGC Junior and Senior shall also check in at the tournament site. Check-in is a procedure in which the player shows up with proof of payment, player ID, Authorization for minors under 18 years and an official Identification Card to ensure he/she will play the tournament and to receive his/her registration kit containing*:
TCG players: Playmat, Pin, Deckbox, badge and lanyard; VGC players: Cap, Pin,Deckbox, badge and lanyard;
*Limited registration kit: given out on a first-come, first-served basis at check-in.
Format

The event will be disputed in three different age groups – Junior, Senior and Master – in the Swiss
Format, with later cut for TOP, according to Pokémon Organized Play guidelines. The number of
Swiss rounds and players to dispute the TOP is determined by the table below:
TCG Two Day Swiss Format
Players with a minimum score of X-2-0 or the 32 best ranked – whatever is greater– are qualified
to dispute the Swiss Rounds on the second day.
The Swiss Rounds will be disputed in the best out of three system, with time limit of 50 minutes +
3 additional rounds.
As for the Single Elimination, it will be disputed in the best out of three system, with limit time of
75 minutes + 3 additional rounds.

VCG
The event will be disputed in three different age groups – Junior, Senior and Master – in the Swiss
Format, with later cut for TOP, according to Pokémon Organized Play guidelines. The number of

Players - under 18 years old:
1. All players under the age of 18 must submit the "Authorization for players under 18" duly
completed upon check-in;
2. Players under the age of 14 must be accompanied by at least one grantor throughout the
event;
3. Players over 14 years old must be accompanied by at least one legal guardian or a
representative (whose age is over 18) designated by them, with the document
"Authorization for legal guardians - over 14 years" duly completed and must stay in the
venue throughout the whole event period;
Players who are not with their grantor during the tournament will be removed from the
tournament.

Awarding
The awards will be given to the best players placed in the aforementioned three categories. In
order to be eligible for the awards, players must have an active account on the Pokémon's website
with a linked Player ID, and have choose to participate in and receive awards from Play! Pokémon
program.
The award values disclosed by Pokémon Company also apply to the tournaments held in Brazil,
where they will be converted and paid in local currency (Real- BRL), with deduction of taxes,
according to the Brazilian laws.
The awards will correspond to the amount in Reais equivalent to those values indicated in the
table below, considering the commercial US Dollar exchange rate, on the event date
TCG *
The award values are based on the total number of players per category.
If there is any category (Junior, Senior or Master), in TCG International Championship, whose
number of players present in the tournament is less than 17 people, this category will not receive
“Prize Money”
More details on taxes will be communicated in the Tournament Regulation
Additionally, the top 32 TCG players in each category – regardless of the total number of players –
will receive:
· 1st to 8th place: 432 booster packs in Portuguese of Sun and Moon;
· 9th to 16th place: 144 booster packs in Portuguese of Sun and Moon;
· 17th to 32nd place: 72 booster packs in Portuguese of Sun and Moon;
Awards, award types and the way they will be distributed may be changed.
VGC *
The award values are based on the total number of players per category.
If there is any category (Junior, Senior or Master), in VGC International Championship, whose
number of players present in the tournament is less than 33 people, this category will not receive
“Prize Money”
More details on taxes will be communicated in the Tournament Regulation
Additionally, the 16 best players of each category – regardless of the total amount of players – will
receive:
· 1st and 2nd place: 144 booster packs in Portuguese of Sun and Moon;
· 3rd to 8th place: 72 booster packs in Portuguese of Sun and Moon;
· 9th to 16th place: 36 booster packs in Portuguese of Sun and Moon;
Awards, award types and the way they will be distributed may be changed.
About the award payment:

BRAZILIANS:
To receive the award in cash, they will need to send the following information to the email

Pis, we will need the following information: Voter’s ID and Professional ID). After receiving the
info, the payment will occur in up to a month.
To receive the award in gift card, they will need to send the following information to the email

and Address. After receiving the info, the payment will occur in up to a month.
To receive the award in scholarship, they will need to send the following information to the email

CPF (Individual Taxpayer Registration), Date of Birth, Address, Bank Information and Pis (Social

to a month.
For Foreigners:
