Well club members our worst fears about the toilets have come true. The whole interior has to be gutted and redone, it was all full of termites. We have a builder doing this right now.

We had a working bee early February and had a great roll up, it was a bit wet but a lot of jobs were done.

We have a busy last part of March and a full April of events. Chris Hume and my-

self will be running Eddington on the 25th March and we will need 2 / 3 scrutineers and 2 grid marshals it's a great day and it's on a Saturday there is a spit roast at the end of the day.

In April we have H.R.A Rally sprints, Easter Sale yards, V.C.A.S and Rover Scouts have hired the venue.

The club cars need some work on them also 2 or 3 dif-ferent cars will be in use this

Page 2 CROSS FLOW

Behind the Screen Welcome to another month and second edition of the new Cross Flow. You may notice a few changes, with both a feature club member and a vehicle each month. If you would like to be a part of this ( and to help us by not having to chase people and a vehicle each month) email your answers and picture to [email protected]

Let us know your thoughts and what you would like to see and don't forget to send us your event reports.

Club Vehicles Update At the recent working bee a check over of the clubs junior vehicles was carried out, unfortunately the cars weren’t in the best shape.

The Hyundai Excel had a seized water pump, the Gemini an electrical issue, the Mazda a coolant leak. Peter Hardi-man and myself have been working on the cars with the Excel sporting a new water pump and belts. Thank you to Richard Opie and the crew at Bendigo Mazda for the kind donation of parts to get the Mazda up and going again.

Also a big thanks to Scott Nicholls and the team at Bendigo Tyre Centre for their ongoing support with a service for the Mazda and new tyres—Free of charge, so thank you! Please support these businesses.

The club Gemini will soon be fixed and returned for service. Due to storage issues the club Charade and possibly the Corolla will now be sold .

If you would like to help out with the upkeep of these vehicles please contact me.

To all the juniors that are using these vehicles, please remove all the rubbish from them at the end of the event and you must report any damage or problems with the vehicle to a senior club member on the day, so that it can be fixed.

Cheers, Craig Hardiman

Catering / Canteen Report Welcome to 2017. Ken and Cheryl Holt will be catering at Bagshot this year. It is good to be back after a two year break. We are excited to be meeting all our sup-portive customers again this year.

Although we are attempt-ing to make money for the Car Club, we will be trying

to keep costs down, so that

lunch and drinks are af-fordable.

We will be selling nice bur-gers, purchased from Meats On Mitchell. Bacon and Egg sandwiches, sau-

sages and Hot Dogs will still be available, as will

Dim Sims. To keep costs reasonable, these items will be sold in bread and not in rolls. Rolls are ex-

pensive, unless anyone feels strongly about this.

Cans of Soft Drink will be sold for $2 and bottles of water for $1. Tea and Coffee and Hot Chocolate will be $2.

Thank you to the people who were at the working bee and assisted us with cleaning the canteen and getting it ready for the first event.

We provided a Sausage Sizzle for lunch on behalf of the Car Club to thank

the people who assisted at the working bee.

Feedback is always wel-come. If you have any sug-gestions for items that you

would like to eat, please SMS me on 0408463659.

We hope to see you at the first club event on Sunday 5th March.

Cheryl and Ken Holt

Thank you to Ken

and Cheryl Holt

on their return to

the Canteen at

Bagshot

If you have any old motorsport

DVD’s for enter-tainment for

after club meetings, we

would appreciate your donation

FUN FACT Little Tikes, red and yellow Cozy Coupe toy car reached 6 million units in sales by its 25th

anniversary in 2004, and was called the “world’s best-selling car for much of this decade” by The New York Times in 1998, outselling the Honda
