What is CCTOP? CCTOP is a scholarship and advisement program dedicated to
helping community college students like you transfer to one of four
divisions of NYU: the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and
Human Development; the Silver School of Social Work; the Rory
Meyers College of Nursing; or the Division of Applied Undergraduate
Studies in the School of Professional Studies. CCTOP has enrolled
over 1,900 students from area community colleges, with a
tremendous rate of success. We can help you prepare for, finance,
and transition to NYU and your future.
CCTOP partners with:
The Steinhardt and Silver Schools, and Rory Meyers College of Nursing
NYU Steinhardt offers a variety of academic choices in art, music, media studies, education, health and nutrition, applied psychology, and communicative sciences and disorders. NYU Silver offers a degree in social work and NYU Meyers offers a degree in nursing. The admission, financial aid, and CCTOP scholarship processes for these schools is exactly the same, and all three schools admit for fall and spring. Once admitted to NYU, you’ll need to enroll full time to be eligible for the CCTOP scholarship and other aid.
Planning Ahead
We’re happy to help you plan your courses at your community college to maximize transfer credits. Steinhardt can accept up to 72 credits in transfer, and Silver and Meyers can accept up to 64 credits, cutting your time to completion and saving you money.
Please note that applicants to the Rory Meyers College of Nursing should complete 64 transferable liberal arts and science prerequisite credits towards our Traditional Four-Year Bachelor of Science pro-gram by the end of the summer semester if applying for fall enrollment and by the end of fall semester if applying for spring enrollment.
Application deadlines for Steinhardt, Silver, and Meyers are April 1 for fall admission and November 1 for spring admission.
