Join Horst as he examines each component of the stroke and guides you to slowly combine them back together for a fresh outlook on teaching successful butterfly.

Why do some small businesses flourish while others fail?

The aquatics industry abounds with passionate people who believe strongly in the importance and benefit of aquatic education. Passionate people naturally look to progress their careers by either managing a program or potentially owning a swimming and water safety school. There are many examples of this transition working well, but there are also many pitfalls.

Explore the steps that result in working ‘on’ rather than ‘in’ the business, with fundamental business principle essentials including:

– Strategy – Structure– Staff – Skills– Systems – Shared Values

IT’S EASY - INCORPORATE WATER SAFETY INTO EVERY LESSON JUDY TIPPING & MICHAL FLETCHER

Water safety education starts at the point of enrolment.

A concerning industry trend assumes customers have some background knowledge in personal safety and/or confidence in water.

Exploring previous aquatic experience or fears disappears in a flurry of forms, terms, conditions and payment as the enrolment process proceeds.

Judy and Michal provide take away information to discover who class students are and how to empower staff teams to confidently incorporate essential water safety knowledge, skill and understanding into every activity of every lesson.

FAT BURNING, STRENGTH AND MOBILITY ALL IN THE ONE PACKAGEANNETTE CHATTERTON

Participate in a shallow water class that combines routines, drills, tabata and muscle conditioning suitable for seniors.

Follow the WETS system to understand a class structure that is fun, balanced and somewhat challenging.

Learn the science behind fat burning, the physiology of ageing and the importance of muscle balance and flexibility in preventing injuries.

Understand exercise options to adjust intensity for the not so active aqua participant, and how to ramp it up for the die-hard seniors.

You’ve soaked up the theory and had all those nagging questions answered; now it’s time to give it a try and experience efficient breaststroke and butterfly for yourself.

This session presents a set of progressive teaching practices and solutions to persistent errors.

Hop in the pool to understand and appreciate the mechanics of breaststroke and butterfly.
